It will fit, but as a previous reviewer stated a small hump on the arm needs to be ground or filed down in order for the lid to close fully. Otherwise the mechanism seems sturdy and does have the metal tab at the end which is in my opinion better than the old plastic style.

I bought this and the gears stripped out in about 3 minutes of me installing it. I went to tighten it down like normal not over tightening it and the gear stripped. It did line up with the holes but the gears are soft. I will never buy from them again if this is how they make their parts.

As noted by other reviewers there are a couple of versions of these latches and it is difficult to ascertain if they are suitable for older RV's. This one fits the aforementioned R.V. as for its lengths. We had to remove a small bulge on the cradle. Took less than 2 minutes to remove with a oscillating saw. A carbide bit on a Dremmel would also work. Installation took less than 20 minutes to complete.
