Don't waste your time with this spring kit. It added almost nothing to the load carrying capability of my 2021 Silverado. I have an 1,100 pound slide-in camper and with the helpers cranked all the way down, the rear of my truck still sagged. The "2,000 pound level load carrying capacity" listed in the product description is a JOKE! Called Hellwig hoping they had an additional leaf I could add, but no such luck.

These springs appear to be nicely made with a nice finish. Installation wasn't difficult, but there are a couple things to watch out for during the process. Depending on the make/model of truck, there might be limited amount of clearance for helper springs, and fore/aft adjustment can make the difference of contacting something during spring compression or not. The following is my experience with my 2020 Sierra SLT.The inner fender liners will restrict your view and access during installation. Not a huge deal, but something to be aware of. The biggest issue is the combination of wheel well liner, and the construction of the stock spring pack, with relation to the actual geometry and placement of everything on the truck. With trial and error you'll find where the helper springs fits best, while being the closest to centered that you can get it. For mine, I had to install the aft mounts just ahead of the stock spring pack strapping band, which put it barely in front of the front strap on the stock springs. It's a tight fit, but it fits and appears to be the best combination of centering, alignment, and clearance I could get on my truck. I tightened everything down by alternating back and forth, then getting them even until the Hellwig was about .5" or so from the factory spring. As far as the center u-bolts and nuts go, nothing special, just do the same until they are nice and snug. The second lock nuts should hold them in place when snugged up. One thing worth mentioning on my truck is that while installing, the aft center u-bolt and corresponding bottom bracket and outer washer will want to ride uncomfortably close to the brake caliper. I resolved this a bit by pushing the bracket inwards as far as the oblong mounting holes would allow, and replaced the outer washer in the kit with a grade 8 I had laying around that had a smaller inner diameter. Other than that, take your time, make sure things are even side to side, and you shouldn't have any trouble. As far as performance goes, I've yet to tow my 26' trailer for a test, but did load the back of my truck up with a bunch of tools and scrap, and it certainly doesn't squat as much as it used to, but does still squat. The ride is a bit stiffer than stock, which I'm still trying to decide if that's a bad thing. I'll get a better picture in a few weeks of how it helps towing, so time will tell.All-in-all, seems like a great product.

Added to a work truck that normally has 1500pounds of cap and equipment. It rased it back up to normal ride hight and operates as designed. Very easy to install

Easy to install, helps keep squat and sway down. Hardly noticeable when not towing.

Does a fine job keeping the truck level when towning and did not adversely effect ride quality. The hardware that's included seems pretty low quality. The directions are generic and there is not parts list included with them. The U-Bolts were such a pain to deal with. They were not champhered, just cut off thread. Normally this wouldn't be an issue, but the nuts had manufacturing material left in their threads so they needed to be chased. Combine the two and every nut wanted to cross thread until you chased them. Also toque directions are unclear. If you torque against the spring it obviously compresses the spring, so I assume the torque setting is for the second "lock nut". Also the u bolts are different sizes. There is no reason to make them two different sizes and threads. Other than the little details like hardware, the springs seem great.

I bought these and chose to have a local suspension shop install them. The asked me a lot of questions and then told me they were better than the similar item they stocked an installed, and cost $100 less! I am very pleased with how they performed towing my trailer. A noticeable improvement in handling and reduced sway and bounce when towing, and not a noticeable change when not towing.

Easy install. Holds our 1,400lb hitch weight for our fifth wheel trailer almost level. Great helper for the truck springs!

Install was not very difficult. I didn't have a big enough C clamp so I had to ask the wife for about 10 Minutes of her time. I had to use a pry bar to get the ends low enough so she could get the nuts started on the u bolts. Made a trip to St Louis and back the day after I installed them 300 miles each way. They definitely made the ride better. I only tightened them down about 60% going to go to about 75% before we head to Michigan and see how that does.

They were very easy to install . The only thing i would change is to add lock nuts for double nuting instead of just regular nuts . I would be worried the second nut on the end of the u bolt will come lose and fall off . Other than that they work great . Gave had them on previous trucks . They really make difference when carrying heavy loads . Does not effect the ride at all as long as you don't crank them down to far when installing them .

I recently installed these and took my time at it. Loosening retightening loosening retightening until I was happy with the install. I probably had a total of two hours into the install. Be careful they are not crooked, or you will have one side of each clamp doing all the work. I used a wood clamp to slightly squeeze the springs down so that I could get the bolts started. Didn’t want to scratch the Perty powder coat. I tightened down the ends so that I had two threads of each bolt showing after the double nuts were on. This was just enough to take up the slack so that the shackles didn’t move around. After install to took it for a cruise and am happy with the ride. It’s a little firmer, and has slightly less body roll. I’m sure when I tow our trailer on memorial weekend that it will tow like a different vehicle. I’m currently at the bare minimum of adjustment, so plenty more room for adjustments if needed.Nice hardware, nice springs, nice instructions.Make sure long end of the spring is to the rear. Measure from center to end and you will see what I mean. I think that’s why one guy on here had issues with his install. Sounds like they are backwards.

They work great! I have a Sierra 1500 that is raised 2.5 and leveled, I use a single axle dump trailer, there is little to no sagging with 3-4000 lb load, bit of a rough ride with no trailer but I have them pretty tight, when adjusted properly it rides like factory, easy to install. would be awesome on stock truck set up. picked up 20, 60 lb bags of cement in just the truck, might have dropped the rear 1 inch.

I have a newer half ton chevy truck and I pull a 26 ft camper and I put a 4 wheeler in the back. It seemed to sag a little more then I wanted it to. So I got online and did some research and found the Hellwig helper spring. The price was great and they shipped very fast. Install was easy and only took 45 min or so. We have towed 2 times now and they work great. I would recommend these springs. They work great and great price.
