- Easy install, 45 minutes from start to end. I followed the instruction sheet and viewed a few YouTube clips and went to work.- OK I might have cheated, I used a hoist and didn't pull any wheels off. I installed the short U-bolts at the front of the axle "basket" with the crossbar and nuts on top.- Reason is that if I would have install the U-bolt the other "normal" way with nut & washer down it would have rubbed on the E-brake cable. Cheers.

It was easy to install and the instructions were clear to understand. I did have to trim the u-bolts after installation. One of them was rubbing the exhaust pipe. I bought this to help with the weight of our 28 foot camper. Ride is great.

The spring helpers did raise my 2008 4x4 f150 to the hight I required. BUT I literally had to use a tap on every single one of the nuts! 32 of them to be exact. Also had to run a die on 2 of the shackle unbolt threads. As they had flat spots visible to the naked eye. Lucky for me that I had all the taps and dies on hand. This actually turned a 30 minute job into a 1.5 hour job!!! Excluding jacking up the truck. All the manufacturer of the hardware had to do would be tap the threads after coating the hardware!!! I have to assume that this company is buying the cheapest crap from Mexico or China and reselling it to us. Hillty fasteners are never this way. I would recommend that they spend 2 cent's more per nut and buy them from someone that knows how to tap a freaking nut.But the sprigs did the job. I just hope they last. For $300. You might hope so.

This purchased was a returned item and was repackaged to sell. Deeply discounted that even with tax it was under 200$. Although the box had a lot of tape on it everything was there. No missing parts or paper work. Jacked up the backend of the truck (2007 f150 xlt 4x4 long box) rested on axle stands with no tires made the work easier. Just laid out all the fastener parts in a tray and used deep sockets, wrenches, dewalt impact and a torque wrench. Just did it one step at a time to each side. Rechecked my work too. Got it back on the ground and took it for a drive. It didn’t take long for the helpers U-bolt to start rattling on the helper spring. Picked up a load of fresh cut hard wood (white oak) and it did what it was suppose to do. I purposely loaded the wood at the back portion of the box. At least 800 pounds. Worked fine. I later tightened the adjusting U-bolts further and the rattling diminished quite a bit. I do not think you can get rid of that clatter completely. How I did the install and adjustment in part was to use a steel ruler to ensure as best possible to get it consistent. Measure from the bottom of the thread portion to the nut face. The four standard U-bolts that hold the helper system in place near its centre i torqued to 55 foot pounds. Some tips. Clean the seating areas of your existing leaf suspension of sand and crude. Although possible to install with the tires on it’s a whole lot easier with them off. After your satisfied with the install and subsequent adjustments put a light coat of anti-seized compound on the exposed threads of the U-bolts. In cases further adjustment or removal is needed. On retrospect I wonder if a piece of dense rubber looped around the adjusting U-bolt area that sits in the curve long helper spring might get rid of the odd clattering but I do not know.

Very easy to install. Took 1/2 hr per side. Lifted the back end an inch or so. Almost no difference in ride unloaded. Good buy for increasing payload.

I am extremely happy with the product that I installed in my 2016 Ford F-150. The instructions were well written and the graphics were good. Most important, the ride and suspension was excellent. So why not a 5-star rating? As with previous recipients, some bolts, flat washers and stop bolts were missing from the box. So off to Lowe’s I go and purchase what the company did not provide. Not a big deal, but one would think with the amount of money I spent, the company’s quality control section of shipping inventory could have been better.

. Easy to install about 2.5 hours. I have a F150 long box heavy payload suspension. It makes a great difference while driving and pulling a 3000 pounds fishing boat and a camper of 2000 pounds in the box. I recommend for sure

Love these products and company. Purchased them for the whole family - five sets and counting. Help improve ride and handling. Parts were missing but if you contact customer service they are very responsive. Even had my helper cut the U-Bolts in half when we were removing to have truck under sprayed. Could not find replacement bolts anywhere. Emailed customer service and they sent me all new hardware for everything except the silencer blocks and springs at no cost when clearly it was our mistake. Love them.

Fit the truck fine with no brake line issues. I torqued down the U-bolts so that there is no rattle when the truck is empty, going over bumps. The truck does ride a little stiffer, but hey, it's a truck. I don't mind a "truck" ride. The next day, I hauled 1,800 pound of concrete about 20+ miles with no issues. The truck handled the load fine.UPDATE: Oct 22, 2018. Springs still working fine. I have taken several loads to the dump (1,500 to 2,000 lbs). I just hauled 6,000 lbs of tile in two loads: 3,000 lbs for about 10+ miles, each trip. The truck was maxed out, but the springs performed without issue. I changed the rating from 4 to 5 stars.

I don't leave many reviews because I more less just want the product to work the way it's designed to. Anyway, I am going to give this series of Hellwig helper springs a five star, because they met my expectations fully. Easy, easy install, and they do exactly what they were designed to do. I have an 05 F150 2WD. Of course that means the rear suspension would be softer than that of a 4WD. I bought this set in hopes it would stiffen the suspension, so when ai haul my sub compact tractor around for mowing season, it'd be stout enough to keep the rear end up. They do their job nicely. The only downfall, I had to wait for replacement hardware. I was missing two compound U-bolts, and two of the long staright-legged U-bolts. I contacted the Hellwig company itself, and the number I contactes was absolutely NO AUTOMATION. One of the best things I have ever experienced. The staff that answered knew exactly what I was missing from my kit. He put the hardware in a box and I got it a week or so later. I was very thrilled. The product itself is definitely worth the purchase!
