I have gone though a number of security cables over the years, mainly from Home Depot. Left out in the sun in a salt water environment, the cable covering deteriorates in about a year, the cable gets rusty after 2 and it snaps from corrosion after 3.I have had one of these securing a dinghy at an ocean dock now for over 3 years and although the covering is starting to get dull, the steel inside is still rust free abd there are no cracks in the covering. For the price, this is excellent value.

It's a bike cable. It is what it is. Best bang for buck. Other cables aren't correct on their cable thickness. This one is. Simple deterant.

Just excellent quality, I got the perfect required length. Just looking at the size of the cable will be enough to decidedly chill anyone from trying to cut via saw or manual cutters. Only multi ton hydraulic cutters would work on this cable.

Being the organizer and leader of a large social bicycle club here in Fort Lauderdale with over 1450 members and growing daily, the safety, health and well-being of our riders is always priority one. The same goes for our mounts as well. It is discussed before every slow roll. And one thing all my members know about me is that I love customization and personalization. And if it serves both safety and customization then roll on I say! My local bike shop could tell you how much they make from our patronage. And not just for technical stuff but for lots of other fun stuff as well, gadgets and accessories are always welcome. I like to gift away some small safety item to our new members at the beginning of each slow roll, most often it will be a safety whistle to wear while riding. Sometimes the gifting goes to another level. It might be a lighting kit, a set of pedals or grips, locking kits, occasionally even a pair of gloves or a helmet. Like this DAOSEC 7 FOOT HEAVY DUTY SECURITY CABLE. It is going to be a great surprise gift away at our next gathering for a lucky club member. I usually like to focus on new riders who may not have all the equipment needed for proper safety. This comes in a zippered carry case. The cable is about the size of your index finger and the looped ends are very formidable in appearance. You would not be so hesitant to leave your mount outdoors with this wrapped around it. Will definitely be adding this to my security force. Just be aware that you will need to provide the lock for this cable-does not come with one. Most of these cable do come with a lock. So in this case you can pick what you like for an actual lock. Be sure to get a big beefy one. And as always remember:Ride Safe, Ride Strong, Ride Happy!!
