If the closet shelf has a wall support board underneath it these shelf and rod support brackets work great.

I've tried multiple brackets from home depot and Amazon and these are just simply the best. They're versatile/adjustable, the paint is durable, the hardware is matching white and they're really easy to install. I bought one batch as a test run but will be buying more.

These closet shelf and rod brackets are nice and work just as needed. The fact that they are adjustable wasn’t really beneficial to our needs, and nonadjustable brackets would have been just fine. These brackets do seem sturdy and I like that they have a hole to set the rod in place (I have older brackets in other closets that don’t have this). This feature is nice in the case that the clothes hanging are unbalanced which could lift the rod up from one side of the holder without having them screwed in place. (The brackets also have holes to secure the shelf in place.)
