About this item

  • Approximately 40mm distance between mounting holes (Nickel mounting screws #6-32 x 3/8"); designed to upgrade the cheap and replace nasty stock switches that come with most guitars and basses
  • Nice durable sturdy switch with metal body - one piece shell to minimise "flexing" damage from any knocking on the switch tip
  • Solid construction with shielding and solid feeling switching, smooth detents and quiet, no extraneous noise when switching
  • Body is enclosed and screwed shut, to avoid things from effecting contact points, with ground tags on both sides
  • Enclosed ball bearing operation. The thick, cast metal case provides a superior base and housing for the toggle and circuit board, also provides a more solid feel to the overall switch when it is mounted to the guitar

Love the closed component design, makes for easy wiring it worked great for my sss strat setup, only thing you might need to consider is the weight this switch is HEAVY duty. but I definitely prefer the hefty feel and durability over any fender or name brand 5 way switches

feels great, and I really like that it has two ground lugs.

I like that it's a smidge shorter than the open-type Fender switch. This makes it more usable for thinner bodies (like Squires). It does have side screws that protrude a bit, so check with your cavity outline.

Used this in an RG550 Genesis after I cooked part of the PCB in the stock switch during a pickup swap. If you’re using in an HSH guitar with coil splitting, you’ll need to clip out the tab that connects terminals 4 and 5 since you don’t want those jumped in that wiring configuration. Feels better and is less noisy than the stick switch. Worth the extra couple dollars over some of the cheaper five ways available. Nice sturdy build. Functions well and fit the pickguard fine.

Installed in a Strat copy with a wanky switch. Switch is smooth and tight. High quality switch.

Not the greatest. Not the worst. It’s fine. Takes up just a little more space than an average switch and wouldn’t fit into the cavity of my Cutlass. Had to remove the beige numbered PCB material panel and wrap the switch in electrical tape to make it fit. The screws that hold this panel on were just enough to make it not fit. Fits in a normal strat tho.

Yeah I'm sold on this for my future builds and repairs. I like being able to change things up and the sturdy box along with the easy access of the solder points makes this a winner in my book. No play between switch settings, it locks in nicely, so it has a great feel IMO.

After trying many switches and not being satisfied with them, I decided to give this one a try. Oh boy! This is, in my opinion, the best switch out there. There is ABSOLUTELY no loose parts, no play at all. Even between the pickguard slot and the switch lever, there is NO play. The detents are sharp and precise. And usually, with regular Strat switches, there is a short "scratch" sound when switching positions. This switch has 0 sound when switching positions. The terminals are solid. It feels, to me at least, like the best switch on the market right now. I've installed it in all my three Fender guitars (2 strats, 1 telecaster)

The metal case is thick, and the pcb is also a better quality. The actuator shaft is as thin as usual budget parts, but works well. The movement is smooth with light clicks. No info of internals as not opened fearing damage to the switch.
