For whatever reason, these are ever so slightly too large in OD to fit my soldering iron. Really not worth the aggravation to send them back, I’ll just have to take a little off the OD before they’re useable. But the box is really nice…

I only needed one size, but I ordered this kit so that when I do use other sizes I'll still have them all contained in one nice little kit.The 'altoids tin' style box is nice and the foam inside holds the pieces securely.The plastic window holds a piece of paper with sizes listed on the picture, but I'll leave that in place since it's easier to reference than pulling out each size to read the markings. (Taking it out only makes it less obvious what's in the tin anyway.)

These heat set insert tools are a perfect size for the corresponding metric pieces. Its super easy to use and connect to your soldering iron.This makes sure inserts are properly installed as well. Comes in a decent carry case.

TL;DR this is a nice compete set that is well machined and works well.this is a very complete set from 2mm thoughh 6mmi took a picture of them with a 3mm threaded insert.the heated insert tools are well machined, and fit well on all my hakko-style soldering irons.The fit of the tip to the insert was jsut right, not to tight, not too lose, so its easy to contro the inserting and loose enough that it dosnt snag when done.The tips fit well over the ceramic heating elemets with no issues. and do not mvoe aorund cone the shell is tigned down. and the machining is jsut as good on the heating ellement side as the tip side.the tips come with instructions for the recomended temeratures for various plastic and, recomended hole size for your inserts.This set willl do you well if your lookign for het insert tips for your sodlerign iron.I hope this was helllpfull

The "Heat Set Insert Tool,Tips for Threaded inserts M2 M2.5 M3 M4 M5 M6, Soldering Iron Tips for 3D Printer Users,Compatible with 900M/T18/FX-888D Irons- Press Tool for Plastic 3D Printer Components" I received actually exceeded my expectations.This is a nice threaded insert set of tools. All the sizes are very uniform, heat up quickly and work as intended.I can either put them directly over my existing soldering tip, or mount it in place of my soldering tip. These even fit in my old Radio shack soldering station. And yes, they fit most of the overseas soldering stations and pencils out there.Good quality insert tools. Worthy of recommendation imho.
