This works well, but the cone on the bottom of the tester doesn't fit into the radiator very well. Otherwise, the fluid works and detects combustion gases.

Not sure what happened because I received a perfectly sealed bottle but the tester fluid is a light green. It's really even lighter than the photo. It's going to be difficult to tell the difference between this light green color and yellow if you do have a head gasket leak. You'll end up questioning yourself and having to go buy blue tester fluid like I'm going to have to do.

Unfortunately this diagnosed a blown head gasket accurately in my use case. I was having trouble with air pockets developing when the vehicle was run hard up a hill, even after bleeding the cooling sytem of all air multiple times. This kit did indicate a blown head gasket. I tested the kit on a car with no problems, and the kit verified that there were no problems. So it works, and is easy to use.

Blown head gaskets are not what you want to deal with but having this kit helps with finding one before it becomes a mess. Kit is easy to set up and instructions provided on the back of the box. I'm glad my test was negative (blue). I exposed the tester to my 2 cycle engine to see if it will change color (exposed the liquid to combustion fumes) and it turned positive (yellow). So the solution works as described. Must have kit if you every work on your own cars.

Great item to have in any shop and does not require a ton of expertise to use it, even if your engine is running great its always good to check the health of your head gasket to allow for worry free travels. This kit is simple and straight to the point so easy anyone can do it and there are a plethora of videos online if your in question as they all pretty much work the same.
