Needed to hook up a second monitor using an older one that had a 15 pin VGA input. This was a low cost, simple plug and play solution. It is working well at 1080P.

My monitor died. Intermittent display but not usable. Fortunately I had an old vga monitor laying around. The computer has a hdmi port for a monitor. This device attached securely to the vga port on the monitor and had a firm fit into the hdmi port on the computer. Turned on the computer. Monitor came to life quickly. Plug and play. Nothing more to do. Also, the price was very reasonable. Highly recommended device.

These adapters work great and allow me to connect some older monitors to my laptop. Plug and play. No setup required. I would purchase them again.

-Hard to set up bc I only moderately know what I'm doing in Windows 11. Someone who is not prepared to figure out display configuration will have a tough time. But maybe you would have a tough time with any external device setup.-Fits my old VGA cable fine. Seemed to take a very long time to get the screws set in all the way. When I told my laptop to detect the additional display, it said it could not. Someone here gave advice for Win 10 about updating drivers, but the Win 11 interface was different, and I couldn't follow the directions. -I succeeded only after I went to System/Display. You see a box that has a 1 and a 2 in it. Click below on Multiple Displays. It should divide the box into 2 boxes, labeled 1 and 2. You can place your cursor on whichever would be your main display, then click the box below "Make this my main display". I think it made the main display crisper. For the price, you can't beat it. The glitch is that when I couldn't figure it out yesterday, I thought the reason could be that there was something imperfect about the adaptor.

I had just bought a new PC which only had HDMI outputs for video. My "old" PC (that still works) has a single VGA output. I have a 2 port KVM which would allow me to switch my Keyboard, Mouse, and Monitor (KVM) between the two computers. This little HDMI to KVM adapter allowed me to convert the HDMI video output from my new computer to a VGA output which I could then connect to my 2 port KVM. IT WORKS FANTASTIC.I was concerned that there might be some loss in video quality caused by the process of converting the HDMI signal to VGA. THE PICTURE QUALITY IS EXCELLENT. I am able to confirm this because my monitor has both a VGA input and a HDMI input. So I first connected my new PC to the monitor using an HDMI cable. I then connected this adapter to the PC's HDMI output and then the VGA output of this adapter to a VGA cable which then connected to my monitor. In both set ups I watched the same video scene and checked out a number of high quality pictures. I could not tell the difference between the two setups.Functions exactly as described -- Works fantastic - Great value at this price.
