This is one excellent HDMI extender system in my opinion! It was simple to install for me since I have used other similar systems in the past. I am using it to send the video signal to a projector through about 75 feet of Cat6 cable, and it has been working flawlessly. The video quality is excellent and seems to be the same as using a direct HDMI cable. I like that the system has other capabilities for the IR, PoE, and RS232, although I am not presently using those features. Only time will tell how long it will last, but I am happy with this product to date. Therefore, it receives 5 stars from me for sure!

We sometimes will have a shoot in a remote location where we need to keep the monitor in another room from where filming will be. In the past, we have run a long HDMI cable, but this was prior to fiber optic HDMI cables coming to market. We were using copper wires and when running a super long copper cable, you're just asking for trouble. This HDMI extender is a great way to get the job done and be able to choose the length of cable you need for each use!Quality was the same as if we had a short HDMI cable from Source to Output. We're very pleased with it's performance.5 out of 5 stars.

I bought this to extend my HDMI from one room to another and utilizing over the ethernet made it more stable. This extender does a great job of transferring the image without losing its quality which is great. However, the IR did not really work where I cannot use my remote control for my video features even though this was manager within the distance it claimed. The user manual was clear to follow and most features were just plug and play. Very simple to install and use. Only wish that the IR would work then it would make it so much more convenient for me. Now this is simply a display only without control. Good to have to display and audio purpose.

I used this to extend my security system monitor from the secure location I have it mounted to the front room so I can watch it on my TV. This is one of the best ones I have used, I actually ordered this to upgrade from the one I have that did not have IR remote relay (bi-directional, but I only use it one direction).The unit forwards power over the ethernet cable, so you only need one power supply (on either end).I haven't tested the RS232 port, but everything else works great. I'm only using it at 1080p, not 4k or anything crazy, but it does exactly what I need and more. It is well built, metal case and screw-in power cord. I would highly recommend it as being one of the best featured HDMI extenders in the price range.
