Well packaged and delivered on time. Replaced the same model and the installation was simple since all of the connections matched.Hayward products are so great to use!

Broke a plate in my Perflex so decided rather than repair it was time to get a better filter system. Had to replumb the pvc to fit the new valve (not included with the filter). Fired it up and the filter ran the rest of the season better than the Perflex ever did! Closing the filter for the winter was a breeze. Looking forward to next season.

Installed right out of the box. Added DE to skimmer. DE started coming out of the jets. Still gave it a day to see if the water cleared up - it did not. Opened the lid and noticed the standpipe was cracked and looked like it had been attempted to be fixed. Ordered two months ago so I can't return. New standpipe is $80 😞

Happy with the filter but it arrived in a box that was previously opened and taped back together. Sure enough, an o-ring was missing for the inlet bulkhead connector so filter leaked badly when started up. Caused hours of searching for a compatible gasket at local pool supply stores. A real pain for such an easy filter replacement job.

We replaced a 25 year old Hayward pump. It was very dependable until about 3 months ago. Switching the old for new pump seriously took 5 minutes and the pool looks great!

The filter is large, easy to install and very well built. It took it about a day and a half to turn my swamp of a pool to crystal clear blue. Be sure to buy the Hayward valve that is a separate purchase. It is essential in my opinion especially for easy back flushing

I love Hayward brand and own Hayward product for over 10 years. I was upgrading from my previous sand filter and looking forward for this new technology. I ordered this one from amazon online but when it came, it's black. Bit surprised since it does not fit my env. The amazon page showing light brown color and I didn't find anywhere mention the different color. So just share my purchase experience.

Replaced my 30 year old Hayward DE filter (worn out grids, time to replace the entire system). Remove replace in 45 minutes. Simply attached it to my Hayward backflush valve, even used same O-rings but with fresh lube. Loaded it with DE and has a working pressure of about 5lbs @ 1750 RPM on the Hayward variable pump. Primed it at 2500RPM about 6 times to check for leaks at higher pressure and nothing. Will update after first backflush come late Spring. Shout out to reviewer who pointed out that cannister filter has reverse i/o ports. Initially wanted cannister but changed my mind later. Would have been really pissed if purchased cannister to then discover I would need to reverse my plumbing. Dodged a hefty and totally un-needed bullet there! And glad didn't have to deal with Hayward customer service because they are worthless (non-existent). Oh, and did come with Hayward OEM grids installed.
