I was noticing some filter media coming through the return line. Sure enough the filter grids had holes in them. I replaced them with this set of filter grids. The filter works properly again. The pool has clear water once again. The price was reasonable and they were shipped promptly.

I purchased these filter grids about 5 years ago and now I had to replace with a new set. They work well but do not last as long as the original Hayward girds. I could not find OEM girds so I purchased what I could find. Not expensive, work well but not long-lasting like OEM grids.

Okay, I don't "love" these. Actually I hate having to work on my pool as much as I do. Worse, I hate the planned obsolescence that these represent. Why can't these be made of the same stuff as the pipes or filter tank? They last for years. And don't tell me the "chlorine" is what makes these break down, the tube that dispenses the chlorine is still the original one I had since getting the pool some 10 years ago!Right, so after that rant, here is my thinking about the 5-stars. There is nothing wrong with these. They are the same as the ones I get at any pool supply store for nearly half the price. That alone is worth a few stars. They are easy to order, show up at your door and work just as described. In that sense I couldn't be happier.Even though I hate dealing with pool maintenance and I'm too cheap to pay someone to do something I can do myself for less.

WAY cheaper than buying from the pool stores! I've seen them charge up to $80 per grid! I wasn't sure what size my filter was (i.e. Cubic ft) so I simply went by the measurements. It was perfect, easy to put in and BOOM!...my pool has a full set of fresh, new (undamaged) grids. This will be my source for years to come.

We recently bought a house with a pool so this is the first time I've had to buy grids. I mention this because I don't know if the old grids were original equipment (oem), so I'm can't give a comparison. However, these grids seem a little bigger (not a bad thing) than my old ones. Even though they may be bigger, they fit perfectly in the filter housing as I didn't have any issues getting them installed. The filtration is GREAT, my water went from cloudy blue to crystal clear in about 24 hours and has stayed that way.

I saw a few reviews of people complaining that these grids were not Hayward OEM... Considering these were only 1/3 the price of the Hayward grids I am not sure what they would be expecting? Construction seems fine to me and I would order again in a heartbeat if need be. The fit was perfect and seem like they will last to me. I will provide an update when I break down the filter for cleaning at the end of the pool season once they are in use for the summer if I find anything wrong.

I do not mind that these are not the Hayward-branded grids. Cost was much lower than I would have paid for Hayward grids to my local pool shop. The quality is also very good. Direct fit and replacement for the grids that replaced these with. I have this item bookmarked in case I need to buy again years from now.
