Correct part for Hyundai Veloster with a back-up camera. Not the part needed for a non back-up camera Veloster. This part was very well made and worked perfectly upon installation. An overall simple repair to do but make sure you watch a couple of the YouTube videos first to familiarize yourself with the steps. I found the most challenging steps were removing the plastic cover from inside the hatch without breaking the snaps (about 8 of them) and getting the rubber grommet with the new part squeezed back into its proper hole and aligned into its slot. All else was simple but definitely review how to videos first. No instructions come with the part.

This part cost around 1K to get replaced at the Hyundai dealer. To replace it, you need a screwdriver to unscrew about 5 bolts (under $10). The total time to fully replace this is under ten minutes. If you have a veloster, with a back up camera, this is the part you need to make your trunk work again and your battery to stop dying. I literally looked up the i instructions up on youtube and fixed it myself. A ten-year-old could do this replacement. Fixing this trunk issue by myself saved me nearly $1k and barely took ten minutes of my time.

Installation took only 30 minutes. All electrical connections and wiring seemed made to specification, and everything fit perfectly. We'll see how long it lasts. This is my car's 3rd switch. The original one from the factory lasted almost 10 years. I replaced it with an aftermarket unit that only lasted about 14 months, as the heat tends to dry out the rubber touch pad. The jury's still out on this new one.

This replacement for my Hyundai Veloster (2014) fit fine and works great. Installing it was a small production, while I assert, that's due to the car design, not the product module design. I supplemented the instructions by watching an online video of the installation process. It was not a big deal for my reasonably handy skills. The parts fit fine. Before installing, I added a set of inexpensive plastic car door tools and the panel connectors herein. I was glad for both of those additions and eased the installation process. Some of the existing connectors did break in prying off the panel, while I had extra in hand. The installation took about 40 minutes. I think I could do in half that time, if I do it again. The replacement part is as good as the original.

This trunk latch kit was exactly what I needed and works great. Installed onto a 2014 Veloster. Do yourself a favor and purchase an inexpensive automotive trim removal kit. Everything necessary for a successful install costs under $30, which is waaaay cheaper than taking to the dealership (most likely hundreds cheaper). Pro tip: Search YouTube for installing a trunk latch on a Veloster. Watch a few of them, as each vid has its own pros/cons. Repair time was about 45 minutes from when I opened the hatch until I was done and beaming with joy. Well worth the DIY.

I installed this and it worked great. After a few uses the glue let go and the switch slipped up out of place. I came up with a simple fix. Before installation remove the 2 silver screws and place small washers under them, large enough to hold the ends of the switch in place. You now have a switch that will never move, and installation works exactly the same.
