Holds plenty of hats as intended. If you want to use the sticky pad, make sure you know where you want to it to go forever because it did tear apart my drywall when I was trying adjust it not even seconds after placing it so I screwed it in instead. Not ideal for an apartment or rental, but gets the job done that I needed to make space

This is one of those things that can be used for many, many things. It really inspires creativity; once you get one, you start to think up ways to use more!Nice coating.Twist the rod to screw it onto the base, then mount on the wall or under a cupboard, etc.Can be mounted either vertically or horizontally.We used the screwed mounting method, but it also comes with adhesive for mounting.Comes with a packet of screws, anchors and decorative caps for the screw heads.Has a little lip at the end to prevent things from falling off when used horizontally.The distance of the hanger before the lip is 7 inches. A little over 7.5 if including the lip.Sturdy enough for medium-duty.We use it in our shop, installed horizontally, to hold rolls of tape. It works great. But we keep thinking of other ways could use it. So might have to get more! At $5.99, it's easy to talk ourselves into getting more of these handy things.If you like organization, I would guess you would love these.
