Tell pesky parasites to ‘bug off’ with the Hartz UltraGuard Pro Reflective Flea & Tick Collar for Dogs & Puppies. This collar kills and repels both fleas and ticks on pups with necks up to 26 inches for 7 months, and also prevents flea eggs from hatching for over half the year - stopping the flea life cycle and inhibiting reinfestation. The water resistant design remains effective even after getting caught in the rain. Additionally, the Reflect-X Shield reflects direct light for up to 450 feet for an added dimension of nighttime safety. For continuous flea and tick protection from head to tail, replace the collar every 7 months. For use on puppies 12 weeks of age and older.
Directions: Remove collar from package, unroll and stretch to activate insecticide generator. Do not use on puppies under 12 weeks of age. Do not unroll collar until ready to use. Place the collar around the dog’s neck, adjust for proper fit and buckle in place. The collar must be worn loosely to allow for growth of the dog and to permit the collar to move about the neck. Generally, a properly fitted collar is one that, when fastened, will snugly slide over the dog’s head. Leave 2 or 3 inches on the collar for extra adjustment and cut off and dispose of the extra length. Consult a veterinarian before using this product on debilitated, aged or medicated pets. Sensitivity may occur after using any pesticide product for pets. Some animals may become irritated by the collar if it is applied too tightly. If this occurs, loosen the collar. If irritation continues, remove the collar and bathe your dog with mild soap and rinse with large amount of water. If signs continue, consult a veterinarian immediately. Do not use this product on dogs simultaneously or within 30 days before or after treatment of other flea and tick products. However, flea and tick collars may be replaced immediately.

Ok, so here is a hint. If it's not working stretch the collar more! About 4 or 5 days in I was ready to scream. I took the collar out of the package, pulled on it a few times and placed it on my dogs neck and every day... it did notta! advantage was always my go to but this year the fleas in my area are insane. dawn bathes, killed the living but once i took her out shed have another dozen on her. fine combing was another little horror show but then I thought maybe i didnt pull on it hard enough so took it off her and played tug of war with the collar and put it back on her, it worked! fleas are gone at least for the moment!

They actually work for fleas and it’s super affordable. When you first take the collars out of the package, there is a bit of a smell. You can cut them to fit. They’ve worn these a couple of times now, healthy no issues.

I have a 50 lb a boxer that I got from a shelter. I put the collar on her the first day I brought her home. The first few days we had a few fleas but after a bout a week they appeared to have died off. We haven't experienced any biting and she isn't scratching anymore. Ive had her for about 2 months now so in my opinion this collar does exactly what it is supposed to do. My girl is sometimes left outside on her cable to roam the yard and still no fleas.

I just received my collars for my dogs opened them and put them on they seemed to work for the first 10 minutes then back to scratching biting so I think these 7$ ultra flea collars don't work .
So bored im reviewing things

I first bought this at target and I've been hooked since. Unfortunately target no longer sells these in person/ the other brand for this product they carry is 2x the price. If your dog is not actively infested desperately needing medical help, its a great way to keep the fleas away year round at a much cheaper, less invasive/strugglesome way than the liquid flea medicine down their back method. Yeah theres some powder that gets on your hands and a little smell of whatever is in there when you need to stretch it to activate it but hey just wash your hands and its gone. Getting the collar on is easy if you make a big loop, shrink to your dogs neck and then cut the excess like directed. My dog hasnt tried to take it off or anything on purpose. At ≈$7-8 every 6 ish months, this is wonderful cost and at doing the job

I have two small dogs that weigh about 7 pounds each. They are senior citizens who are very loved. Over the summer, my female canine appeared to get fleas. I've never used a collar on either one whatsoever. So I tried something different and got these collars for both dogs.Literally, in less than a month of usage, both my dogs health rapidly declined. My male dog was lethargic and lost weight for unknown reasons. My female dog became unresponsive and appeared uncharacteristically depleted. I thought they were sick from parasites and took them immediately the vet. Nothing was found in urine, feces or bloodstream samples. My male dog had it the worst. I assumed it was "his time" due to his age and intended to prepare for end of life care with our vet. My son accidentally took off the flea collar for my male dog while cuddling and I forgot to put it back on. In less than 24 hours, I saw a positive change so I kept the collar off and took the collar off my other dog, too. Its been a several weeks and they are both are back to normal. I do not believe it was a coincidence that both dogs became so incredibly lethargic and appeared ill while using the flea collars. I believe the poison was shutting down their organs and causing them a slow, untimely death. Please be extra careful if you use this product on smaller pets. I don't think it affects larger breeds the same way. Just give your little fur babies a flea bath and pass up using this flea collar. Your pet's life may depend on making that choice.
