Bought this to change the rear differential fluid on a couple of BMWs with no drain plugs....just fill plugs.Pumping 75w-90 worked fine. Way cleaner and easier way than a using the syringe system. All the cheaper pumps have rubber impellers and are made for water only if you look at the specs. Even the Milwaukee pump ($$) is for water only. This unit uses metal gears. Not super fast but not slow either. Seems to work at the expected speed based on pump and hose size. My pump got warm but not hot. I was only pumping a quart out/ in....but pumping heavier axle oil.Nice touches...... Adjustable hose holder clip. Also the extra quick connect end caps make it easy to plug off lines to prevent dripping and slinging fluid around.

Sucked out 6 quarts 5W-20 oil from my 2018 Ram Promaster van in about 5 to 6 minutes. The suction hose is curved due to the packaging allowing the hose to go down into the engine and not touch bottom as far as I could tell. I was able to poke all but the last 5 inches of the tube down into the engine. I pulled it back up and reinserted down to where I had marked the tube as the length of the dip stick. Then pushed it down about 6 inches or so. Gave it a try. The engine holds 6 quarts and that's what came out. So if you use this thing you need to know how much oil is in your engine and then measure it in a container when drawing it out to make sure you're getting all the oil out. I took a heat gun and heated the suction tube and straightened it somewhat before inserting it. So when storing the unit it will not fit in the tiny case that came with it unless you curl the hose back up. If you use the case the hose with kink right where it connects to the pump. I see that is where some folks had splits and leaks in there hoses. So don't recommend using the storage case. I am using the Amazon box it came in to store it so the hose doesn't have to been curled so much. The hose caps that keep the hoses from leaking seem to work well however when you take the hoses out of the engine and your disposal container IT WILL leak until you get the caps installed on the end of the tubes. Be aware and be prepared with a rag to catch the drips. Overall I am pleased. I did warm up the oil by running the engine about 4 or 5 minutes and waited about 5 minutes to let the oil drain back down to the bottom of the engine. The pump seemed to have plenty of suction to do the job mind you my oil is 5W-20 so can't speak to its performance with heavier oil. The pump was quieter than I anticipated. kudos for that. But unkudos for the case and the stiff curved suction tube. Now just hope it lasts for many more oil changes. It does seem to be built pretty robust, heavy and is metal. Now to find a place to store that large Amazon box it came in.

The 1st one I bought sucked air. The seller told me to take it apart and reseal it. That didn't work, so I sent it back for a 2nd one. I used it to suck oil from Briggs and stratton 13.5 hp. Worked great. Tried to suck new oil from container to the engine. It drew air with the oil. It took forever to get oil from the container to the pump, and discharged oil was cloudy and mixed with air. I spent 5 minutes getting 1/2 quart from container to engine. I ended up sucking the cloudy oil and recycling it. The time limit expired from when I received it until I used it because of back surgery, so I'm stuck with it. It's going to the trash. Don't buy this piece of junk.
