I’m a super beginner artist and just bought this for my art class but it seems pretty good right out of the packaging!! the cover has some little dents from the elastic closure but they aren’t super visible so i think it’s okay.this sketchbook isn’t exactly 8x8, it’s a little bit over 8” horizontally and a little under vertically but it’s not super noticeablethe paper feels like pretty good quality and it felt great to sketch on with a regular pencil. it’s a really nice off white kind of and it looks really nice.overall i think this was worth the price!

very nice, i love the paper thickness and texture! the bookmark and pocket are a nice touch too, overall very good quality for the price

So far it has held up well to mixed media. My suggestion would be for a paper with more tooth and perhaps a buff or gray color. I have had black sketch books that I have enjoyed as well. Great size and pages turn easily.

While the pages tear a bit too easily for my liking, it's ideal for sharing sketches due to the clean edges and reduced risk of uneven tearing.Personally, I require a sturdier, more durable option. Unfortunately, mine arrived torn, and the binding didn't hold up well. However, As someone who always has a sketchbook on hand, I've found this to be a decent choice.

This sketchbook is awesome! I'm very picky about journals, but I can't find a flaw with this book! The cover is sturdy and nice and plain, with no ugly branding on it. The closure band is a really nice touch. The paper quailty is great for pencils and pens. For watercolor, you should buy a watercolor journal instead. I like that the paper is cream, which looks more natural than bright white. I love that the book opens flat, and that the pages are perforated. That allows you to easily discard a badly messed up page without having to take the time to 'fix' it, and you can also easily remove your very best work to a frame or your portfolio.Some reviewers say there's a problem with the spine of book, but the spine on mine seems perfectly fine, although I've only had the book for a very short time. I'm baffled by the reviews that say the perforated pages detach from the book just from flipping the pages! This does NOT happen with mine, I would have to purposely tear a page out, no problem with them falling out on their own.I like this sketchbook so much I'm thinking of ordering another.

i keep this sketchbook in an activity bag for my daughter for when we go out to eat or when we're at a friends house. she always has something she can do and color. the paper is nice, she likes to draw something and then hand it out
