Choose Strong

Founded in 1988 by fitness enthusiast and entrepreneur David McCrane, Harbinger swiftly became the brand of choice for weight lifters and strength trainers worldwide. It began with an innovative Wrist-Stabilizing Glove. Originally intended to mitigate wrist injuries for skateboarders, McCrane quickly realized the benefit of his product for weight lifters. Teaming up with 8-time Mr. Olympia body builder Lee Haney, they pioneered Harbinger as the source for high quality, carefully engineered gloves, belts and strength training accessories. Since then, Harbinger has expanded into weight lifting accessories, including wraps, straps and speed ropes. With proprietary technology and advanced design, Harbinger drives the category and continues to deliver new, innovative products.

The gloves are great, they are comfortable and built to last. The problem is the Dye they used it starts to leach black when they get humid. They stain your hands black and last a while to remove. I washed gloves by hand and the still leach black color. Also left gloves on bucket of water overnight to remove as much as posible of the dye, but even with a full bucket of black liquid, they still leach black dye when used and stain hands.PLEASE: Change the Dye you are using, maybe no dye would be better.

I owned a pair of these Harbinger gloves for several years. They fit perfectly and were very durable. I wore them for such a long time that the gloves literally started to wear out and fall apart. I tried to find replacement gloves at various sporting good stores that were the same make and model. Good luck! The gloves I found were either too small, or poorly made. Needless to say, I was skeptical buying them on line. What a pleasant surprise when they arrived. They were the exact gloves that I sought to replace! The size was the same, as was the quality. They performed well and made lifting weights comfortable again. I recommend these gloves to anyone that seeking gloves that are properly padded, light, and well made. Indeed, I plan to purchase another pair to use as added insurance.

I use these gloves for all my resistance workouts and they are great. Solid feel and fit well without pinching or being too loose. The fingers are just long enough for grabbing a bar without being so long as to bunch up and pinch you.Very happy with my gloves.

First, I would like to say is that these workout gloves are well constructed. Stitching and quality is perfect. I’ve own many pairs of workout gloves but these are comfortable and makes it easy to workout on either the free weights, cross over cables and even my HIIT routines.I would recommend purchasing these gloves because of the quality and durability. These gloves are over all well rounded for the gym or for your home workouts

Love these gloves, I've been looking for a simple glove for weight lifting. These are perfect, no added padding other than the leather palms. Very good fit (XL for me) and comfortable. There was no stitching that bothered by fingers or hand, good velcro wrist tabs. They seem to be sown well, I'm hoping they hold up, I'm not a power lifter and only lift 3-4 times a week for 30 minutes at a time. So far I love them.

These are my go-to for a good workout. Perfect size for larger hands with a skinny wrist. It's not heavily padded which allows me to feel what it is I'm holding without damaging the palms of my hands. Unfortunately, and nothing against the seller (arrived in a timely fashion and weren't used, so kudos to you), they're not very well-made (loosening strings which open up the padding areas, or tears in the fabric overtime), as I've gone through too many of these for my own liking. But they've served their purpose and kept me coming back. 4 out of 5 stars.Hope this helps you in making your purchase. Take care and have a great day! (=Z.

I've been a Harbinger consumer to 20+ years, and have been holding out hope that the stitching integrity will improve...someday. This hasn't occurred yet, which I confirmed with likely my 30th pair during this time span (see attached pictures). The stitching between the fingers and in the palm doesn't deconstruct sometimes, it deconstructs all of the time. More often than not, this occurs within the first 90 days. The fit and comfort are always sufficient, but it's stunning the shoddy construction hasn't improved during this period of time. Yes, shame on me for always coming back, but I'm big on 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc chances. This pair was delivered on Dec 19th, 2023 and had split open in numerous spots (see pics) by Jan 15th, 2024. I typically work out 4-5 times a week for 45 mins to 1 hr 30 mins - so nothing extraordinary on my end to cause this type of glove deconstruction. I know that all of my friends have experienced identical outcomes with their Harbinger gloves over the years, which seems to confirm my historic experience isn't anecdotal. As mentioned, I've long been a Harbinger supporter. However, this would the be proverbial last straw, until they've made a new commitment to stitching and glove construction. Hopefully, this proves helpful for those considering a pair of Harbinger gloves, as I've tried approximately a dozen Harbinger variations, and the result has been identical for two plus decades.

No issues with the gloves. Primarily using them as extra padding for push ups with handles, but started also using with heavier weights for squats. Padding is in just the right place for both.

High quality, thick padding on palm. Very robust compared to other gloves on the market that just fall apart in a matter of weeks. Should definitely last a long time, even with decent usage.

I do a fairly general workout a few times a week - about 15 minutes of strength training on a Bowflex, pushups, situps/crunches and then 45 minutes on an elliptical trainer. While my hands are not tender by any means, I would find that the pads of my hands would get a little sore at the end of the workouts. I had an old setup of similar gloves that I used but nook between the thumb and index finger wore out rapidly leaving a hole which was more irritating than not wearing gloves. When I went to look for a replacement set of gloves I quickly discovered a huge range in pricing. I decided to try a most cost effective set of gloves and if they failed quickly I would consider more expensive ones. The Harbinger gloves have been exceptional in all ways. Many gloves I have used in the past would get hard over time - likely due to being soaked in sweat from workouts - no such issue with these. I have found these gloves to be very flexible while still offer solid protection for the palm and base of the fingers. I have seen some reviews say that there is not much padding in the palms but I have not experienced this myself. I have used gloves with a lot of padding and these are not thick, but I find they keep my hands protected while still allowing good flex. All in all I feel these gloves are great for weight lifting and elliptical work.
