This kit is decent for beginners, with colorful paper and simple instructions. However, the designs are limited, and the paper quality is just okay. It’s fun for casual use but lacks variety for serious origami enthusiasts

As a beginning origami learner, I purchased this "kid" kit in hopes of learning basic folds, then expanding from the simpler projects. I had already made a few Orgami projects prior to purchasing this kit. (boxes, etc). When my kit arrived I immediately began making each project in the booklet but quickly struggled trying to read the diagrams as I progressed into other projects. Think what is confusing for me are some of the diagrams, basics in the beginning of the booklet are a solid color diagram, making it look like it should be 3D when folding. Just not what I think as beginning instructions. I learned my first Origami basics using the creases as guidelines, folding into the crease for precise folds. I find "fold in half" easier to understand than struggling to read the dotted lines and arrows in the diagrams against solid colors and folds. I also expected a thicker paper but as a beginning package for kids, not a big deal. I have in fact already ordered another kit in hopes it will be include better instructions.

I ordered this Origami Kit for my 6-year-old, and he absolutely loves it! The paper quality is excellent, and there are so many figures to create, which keeps him engaged for hours. The instruction book is great, with clear images of the creations and detailed step-by-step guidance. That said, younger kids might need a bit of help from parents for some of the trickier designs. Overall, it’s a fantastic kit for kids and a wonderful way to bond while crafting together! Highly recommend.

Plenty of variety for a 10 & 12yr old. Not sure it held their interest for long though. A bit complicated for some of it. Saying that there were plenty of pieces to put together with this Origami kit.

My 6 year old can di this on his own. Easy instructions and lines help him. I showed him a couple, and he took it from there.

Exactly what is described. Instructions are a little confusing but me and my 8 year old figured it out. Paper is a good thickness and the colors are bright and vibrant. Happy with this purchase, shipping and packaging were excellent!

This is a great origami set. My granddaughter and I have tried many ways to achieve learning origami without ringing the fun out of it - too hard or too easy.This set allows the first timer practice very simple folds and create some fun and attractive results. The patterns are progressively challenging but a number of the early ones are easily obtainable and fun. Each one teaches a new step to mastering origami and the steps build up so you have learned to recognize a number of folds. This system is a very creative and hands on way of teaching this sophisticated art. I would suggest a nimble 5 year old would like it and older children would be able to whiz through the first examples and achieve a great sense of accomplishment and joy in the outcomes. I give it 5 stars.

I bought this as the birthday gift for my 8 years old. All origami papers are nice printed with designs and pattern (faces, details etc.), however the folding lines are not accurate. If you fold along with the design, you will not get an even folding; if you do even folding, some of the design may get cut off (the printed cartoon face is not center). The instruction seems to be difficult for the younger ones to understand. Even my husband and I, had origami experience before, were confused with some of the directions. Yet some foldings are fairly easy with 4 steps that a 5 years old can follow.Pros:- very cute printed details- clear numbering reference at the back of each paper, referring to the pages of the instruction- giftable- includes very simply and easy folding items (cats, houses)Cons:- some folding instructions are not clear enough, kids will have a hard time to figure on their own- inaccurate printing on the folding lines/design (causing uneven folding)
