Use a 0.4 oz to 0.9 oz spindle to spin a fine lace to fingering weight yarn. Use a 0.9 oz to 1.6 oz spindle to spin a fingering, shetland, and sports weight yarn. I am fairly new to spinning and live in a tiny house, so I need tiny supplies for my hobby. This spindle is great, I have only had it for a few hours, but already love it. This is my first time using a top whorl spindle, and the little grove on the side of the whorl makes it so easy to keep my yarn in place. I think I may get a few more of these, so I can spin several types of fiber at a time. Also, the owl is just so cute. The only thing I recommend is that because it feels like raw wood, I do plan to coat it with wood butter.
