The candles are ok - just ok. Not cheap for what they are ... just average candles and not a great price. One arrived smashed on the bottom but still useable. I will be looking elsewhere for future candle purchases.

This candle worked for what I needed it to. It was slightly dented on one side when I received it, but I just put that to the back. I just needed an unscented pillar candle to decorate for a wedding. Worked great!

I'm placing my 4th order for the 3 x 9 inch tall candles. They burn right to the ground (or other surface) evenly as long as you remove some wax walls that eventually form. I use these in a bathroom which has a window but no fan, sometimes using 2 or 3 candles. In about 20 minutes (with window slightly open) residual #2 odors are gone.They also look beautiful. I usually reserve one candle that is barely used for when dinner guests come who will need to use that bathroom, because the 'new' look makes a nice impression. Also, in winter if three "new looking" or old candles burn for maybe 30 minutes it warms the room...another nice touch when you have a special guest!

(Disclaimer: this review is for the Candlemart seller. I can't vouch for how other sellers pack them.)Not much to say about candles, other than I was a little worried about ordering them online since if they were packaged poorly they could easily break in shipping. No worries, though, I ordered 3 and they came wrapped in bubblewrap and were securely sitting in the box in packaging that's molded to their shape. No foam-popcorn packaging here.The candles are high quality, though -- I edit this comment in after some experience with other candles. The burn time on these has been pretty incredible. Also, the 3 inch wide variety seem to burn down in a "cup", which is to say, the wax melts in the middle and leaves the outside edges standing, which is to say, you won't have to worry about wax dripping down. I'm sure that's why these have such long burn times, as well.I'll definiately order more from Candlemart in the future.(edit: Aug 2008. Just ordered another 6. They actually came packed in a box that was packed inside of a second box filled with styrofoam. No broken candles! The burn time on these things is huge. I actually still have the original 3 I ordered, albeit they are now 3x3 rather than 3x9...)
