I am using this as a general purpose power supply specifically for electroplating. Easy to set and works very well. Great value.

This is a very good value. I unfortunately had an issue with mine after 6 months. I contacted Hanmatek. They responded in 24 hours. They got the engineering team involved to help solve my issue. It was determined my unit had a defect that could not be fixed and they made it right. Very good customer service, which is what you need if you have an issue.

Nice little supplies. Two of these are less than the least expensive dual output supplies out there. I set one to 12V and one to 5V. They are on the prototype bench. Adjusting the max current let's you know your test article has a problem without letting the magic smoke out.

This works as advertised and does what I need it to do. I’ve been using it to charge and test super capacitors. The case seems robust and the electronics do what’s needed. I’d recommend this one!

I build and set up X frame type race drones and that was the primary use for this power supply. The amp draw on these quads just to power them up is less than 1 amp. I can fire up 1 motor at a time or all 4 motors at once through the configurator that's used to set these quads up and it's still way under 5 amps. It blew the main F5A 250W fuse that's located just under the power supply cord. It came with one extra fuse and I installed it and it immediately blew that fuse too when I pushed the power button. I even bought more fuses and tried 1 more, same thing. Everything worked great up until that point. I wasn't sure how to rate the features, it looked to be accurate, easy to read and was stable while it was working.. just didn't last long. Cheap components. 32 days Is past the return window for Amazon. Very disappointed.

Review from a retired electrical engineer. This is a good supply for tinkering around with your electronic projects. I checked the displayed readings and they seem reasonably accurate. The user interface is a bit strange, so you need to learn how to operate it, but once you do, it works out pretty well. You do not have analog dials for voltage and current. The knobs adjust the readings digitally. There are a number of settings you can adjust, but most are described by the user manual, which is on the brief side. Most importantly however is that the power on state of the output switch can be programmed to default either on or off. This setting was described in the manual. There are a number of other settings that I don't know what they are for, but I recall seeing a YouTube video which described them. Now, If I could just find that video again. I did not measure the ripple or other performance parameters, but all seems just fine for my purposes. It is pretty easy to set either constant voltage or constant current so using to charge batteries is possible. You may want to consider the 10 AMP model which is just a little higher cost, but looks to have a different interface.

This one I still have and I have no problems with it. The more I use it with the more I like like it.The adjuster knobs are particularly important, push in to the decimal place you want volt or amps.I charged a supper cap with it, I set the settings of the supper cap, hooked the alligator clips pushed the output button and I could see the Cap was charging. Same with a rechargeable Battery, difference beinga battery you see the current charge downward and a Supper Cap charge up to its current capacity.
