It’s a Korean product. Very sturdy and great quality.

This is the best most versatile garden tool to have. I have almost two acres of garden and this is the tool that I use the most. Have actually worn out the point and had to sharpen it because I’ve use it for years.

Sharp, makes digging easier, nice flat sharp edge is very practical as well as pointy end. Once I was turned on to the tool by a Korean friend, I never used standard diggers and trowels.

One of our master gardeners said this was one of her favorite tools so I had to go and order it. I think it’s going to be one of my favorites too. I used it for digging up weeds at one of our projects and it did a terrific job.

So...our most recent foreign exchange student was from Korea and asked me to order this for him after we asked him to help us with some weeds in the back yard. I think he used it once before he saw that we had twice the amount of weeds pulled than him trying to use this tool. I have never used one or seen one used, so I have no idea if he was using it correctly or not. If you want my recommendation...just get some good gloves.

As a steel fabricator and metal man, I recommend people watch some Youtube videos of these being forged in Asia, to appreciate the skill and time it takes to forge one of these from a small rectangle of steel. You'll quickly understand the value here, both intrinsically and monetarily. It's deceivingly light, and is the most efficient garden hand tool I have ever used, hands down.

II bought this tool on the limited glowing reviews. Shills? Now for the review...QUALITY - the blade and shaft are made of one piece steel: the blade is a flattened extension of the shaft -no welds to worry about breaking. The handle does not appear to be hardwood and has a somewhat rough finish. How well it the bond between handle an shaft holds up remains to be seen. As a weeding tool one might expect a sharp edge on the blade. Not so. It appears the manufacturer gave the blade a cursory run over a grinder and left it at that. Not to mention the burr left on the backside of the blade.DESIGN/FUNCTION - This is where I really start deducting stars...The listing says "dig trench and scrape". For digging and trenching is this supposed to be the revolutionary tool that replaces trowels and shovels? I don't think so. Trowels and shovels have rounded tips to gather the largest amount of soil. This has a pointed tip which is o.k. if you are planting in soft rototilled soil otherwise why not use a trowel or a shovel? What I had in mind when I bought this tool was something to scrape weeds in small spaces. Like you are trying to weed an onion or garlic patch. No at this juncture let let me digress. I have a "de witt" weeder which I regard as just about one of the best tools around for weeding small spaces. No I'm not a shill for "de witt" weeders; I'm just a joe six pack gardener who appreciates good tools - and that is a good tool. Now what is the difference between the two?. De witt tool length 18'. gives you extended reach. Ho mi 11". Length of de witt blade 4" ; important when weeding in small spaces. Ho mi blade length - 6.5" - no scraping of weeds in tight spaces.BLADE ANGLE. In a scraping/weeding tool the angle of the blade is critical. Yeah I tried hauling out protractors and measuring the angle between blade and shaft but that got rediculous. On my Ho mi the angle is just about 90 degrees which puts it in the class of a hoe - not a weeder. Now if I'm going to hoe I go for a stout tool with a 5' handle, not an 11" handle. Basically the blade/shaft angle is all wrong for scraping/weeding. Now the way the angle of the shaft has been configured makes it way more adaptable as a digging tool. As a scraping tool it is all wrong - it's at like 45 degrees to the weeds you are trying to kill - not 90 and it is nearly 6.5 " long. If you are going to weed areas with such open spaces why no use a scuffle hoe or similar too? In short this tool is trying to be a "one stop shopping" tool but manages to fail abysmally on most counts.

I love it but only giving it 4 stars overall because the first one they sent me had a crack on the handle.
