I ordered these for our young children to play as the choir sang "The Little Drummer Boy." The children loved them so much that I let them take the drums home as a Christmas present.

I ordered three of these drums, and all of them came with real animal skin heads. They sound warmer and subjectively "better" than synthetic heads, but it also means they're not quite as durable and they're subject to weather/humidity making them so loose and floppy that they can't be played without heating them over a lighter/stove.
