It's solidly built perhaps even more so than a grainmaker 99, but the burrs have no sharpness to them, they're just bumps. That electrolytic polish they brag about sure didn't help. I think they're cast burrs and that's why.But it's okay. Takes about twice as long as the grainmaker to grind but costs 1/3 the price. I expect it to last a long time, i mean it's not getting any duller, but if the company would make sharp burrs I'd easily pay a hundred more

This is an excellent quality grain mill. I have used various grain mills in the past including top quality German manufactured home mills and this product is equal in quality. The product is of high precision manufacture of excellent quality steel and high quality coating. It comes well packaged with two clamps to clamp it to your bench top plus spare bolts in case you want to take it off its mounting board to mount it permanently on a bench. It turns quite easily and has good throughput of grain to flour. It can grind from coarse to fine with the easy adjustment of the knob. Cleaning is easy and if you purchase this mill you will not be disappointed. It is extremely high quality equal to the most expensive hand mills on the market.

It works good. Ground some wheat and corn. Only as fast as you can turn it so don't go into it thinking you'll do 5lb in an hr. Handle is adjustable to make it easier. Won't have to hunt for wheat flour anymore. Should work really good on peppercorns.

We use it to make COURSE ground coffee, with coffee beans. We use a stainless percolator coffee pot which requires course ground coffee (without having to use a filter). This grain grinder works great. I can slow grind a pound of coffee in about 3 to 5 minutes. Clean up is easy with a small shop vac.We wanted a spare burr set for future if needed, but they are never in stock. We did find a set from Lehmans hardware that fit, but they do not have the recessed holes in the burr plate that prevent the burr from changing adjustment during use. That would not be a hard fix. Works great.

I love this grain mill for milling my own grains. My family is all gluten free, and gluten free flours are very expensive compared to typical flour. This grain mill allows me to determine the grind and consistency of my alternative flours and allows me to produce what we need, when we need it. It is a bit of a workout, and it is a little time consuming compared to shopping for what I want. However, the health benefits and savings are well worth it. I love that this can be used anywhere that has a counter to attach it to. It means I can put it in the barn and grind there if I wish, or I can do it in my kitchen. The mill seems to be well made and it looks as though my husband could set it up to use a machine to power it if we needed.Overall, I would say that this is well made, sturdy, and will last a very long time. I am so happy to have it and it earns a very solid 5 stars from me.

This is a very nice mill for the price. If you're familiar with GrainMaker it looks like a take off. It's not as nice as a GM mill but the price is half and unless you are going to use the mill daily these are a better deal. Very few proprietary parts, so unless you abuse it it's going to last for decades. If you're curious, replacement parts are available from the manufacture. I own both brands but the Mosakar gets used the most. Their adjustable leverage on the operating handle was a great idea. I don't believe you'll be disappointed if you buy one.

100/100I’ve wanted a little mill for years to grind whole wheat berries to make 100% fresh whole wheat flour . . . or corn meal . . . or rice meal . . . you get the idea. I was planning to get one that attached to my big stand mixer . . . BUT . . .then I found THIS!First, let me say . . . THIS THING IS HEAVY! Plan ahead. It’s not something you’ll be throwing around the kitchen. It’s also just physically BIG! You’re going to need at least a 12” X 12” space 18” tall to house THIS! Again . . . plan ahead. As for it’s operation . . . READ the literature. Adjustments and set up are essential to proper milling. THIS is not just a throw it in and crank situation. You have to find the proper grind you want, etc. Once you know how to set it, changing between milling inputs is not a big deal . . . . but there’s some trial and error involved to get it right.Be patient and soon you’ll be skilled in a timeless, priceless craft. Milling.(The crank wheel is grooved . . . hint hint . . . I’ll bet a V-belt would fit it perfectly . . . but I didn’t say that.)Ultimately, is it worth the price? YES!!! It could even be an economic generator if others need milling done.
