Man this thing is versatile! I have finally been able to put my air filter near the solder fumes instead of hoping they'll drift the right way eventually. It seriously has helped me, as the fumes tend to really get to me, and for my hobbies, I tend to solder for hours at a time.

I recently bought the Hakko electric fan/filter and failed at finding a way to position it to capture the fumes from soldering stained glass... This articulated arm fixed that problem quite nicely... It's sturdy and easy to reposition...
