This item, Makita 198362-9 is the replacement dust cup part for the Makita Dust Extraction Kit. If you don't already have the kit, Makita # 199245-6, then this part is not what you want.

Having been advised by Makita themselves that this is what I needed to fit my drill. Only to find it’s only part of the kit required to fit, a spacer & alternative side grip being also required, yet can’t find those part numbers. Will be sending it back unless Makita can provide such numbers & they’re easily available. WHY is it sold a a part of a kit, a part that won’t fit without the others?

Niestety trzeba je zamocowac tasma do wiertarki ,zaczepy nie pasuja mimo ze moja wiertarka jest w opisie . poza tym spelnia swoja funkcje , zdecydowanie lzejsza i tansze rozwiazanie niz dedykowanu odsysacz/odkurzacza.

Zum Betrieb wird eine Distanzhülse benötigt, die anscheinend nicht zum Lieferumfang gehört und auf die auch nicht hingewiesen wird. So wie es ist, ist es unbrauchbar.

Great idea--for dust control--in theory. In practice, the dust extraction cap obscures your view of the drill bit. On top of this issue, Makita should sell this with all of the hardware necessary to use on their drill hammers. Instead, you need to purchas$e the extended bolt and plastic adapter separately. Ridiculously costly and hard to find.I tried using this with the XRH06RBX, but found this drill so light weight and easy to handle, I could drill with one hand and hold the dust extractor hose with the other.
