Gymboss timers are made to keep your HIIT workouts efficient and effective.They can be set for two intervals (2 seconds to 99 minutes), and rounds or repeats up to 99 times.

Gymboss timers are perfect for Tabata workouts – set the intervals for 20 seconds and 10 seconds for 8 repeats. Run, bike, row, squat, lunge – pick your favorite – and go as hard as you can for the 20 seconds, rest for 10 seconds, and repeat 8 times. This is the ultimate HIIT routine. There are many different routines to do Tabata style, and the Gymboss is the perfect timer to get the job done.

Rest is important when weightlifting. Different rest times yield very different results and providing consistent rest allows you to reach goals and watch your progress. Not timing rest can result in workouts that may run much longer than planned.

Use Gymboss to time an exact rest period, such as 60 seconds, or whatever rest time you desire, between every set. Set the rest you desire and the beep and/or vibration of the Gymboss lets you know when your rest is over. Or, set the repeating feature and complete a disciplined workout of 20 sets in 30 minutes with approximately 60 seconds rest between each set, that’s a 30 minute workout every time!

The timer works as intended. I set my intervals, number of intervals, alert method(s), and alert length. Unfortunately, once it snaps into that wristband, you are never getting it out of there without breaking the wristband. Once the battery dies on this one, I'm going to have to get a new wristband I guess.

I'm relatively new to "Jeffing" or using Jeff Galloway's method or run/walk/run interval running. Before getting the Gymboss, I was relying on my own counting method/comparison with my Garmin watch, which worked but wasn't ideal. Several runners recommended this device, so I decided to give it a try. Game Changer!! It's really easy to set up and change the intervals to suit whatever kind of run you're planning to do. I have mine set to vibrate, so it's really easy to follow when to run and when to walk. Without having to think about how many steps or constantly having to check my watch, I can now concentrate on my form, cadence and breathing to help me improve my overall performance. Recommend it very highly!

I purchased this timer to replace a finger timer I had. I liked the finger one better but it constantly stopped working. And had no way to replace the battery wo sending back & paying for seller to do it. I like the big readouts on this one. Took me some practice to figure out how to set it. But for the simple timing I need it is working fairly well. The start button is a little hard to press being indented a bit & on left side. I use the timer for Nosework dog trials. It was recommended by several people. Other timers that were recommended were a LOT more expensive. Have only used once at a trial so far. It worked well & I was able to quickly reset to a new timer when I had breaks between searches.What I don’t like about it is there does not seem to be a way to stop a current timing event & have it reset for times I don’t use all the time. If I have to go from one search to another, & did not use the entire time, I have to wait for the current event to expire. Then I can restart for the next search or set a new time duration. You can set two events but the second one will start once the first one ends. I need to be able to control the stopping & starting of each event. Most of our searches have breaks between so it’s not as much of a hassle for now.

I've been attending physical therapy for an Achilles tendon problem. When busy at PT, it can be confusing to figure out when the assistant starts my stretching/exercise timer and who's beep is who's when the timers expire! I've searched and searched for something that would help with timed exercises but doesn't produce a lot of noise ... and finally I found the perfect fit, the GymBoss Interval Timer! With an audible alarm and/or in vibrate mode, I can set up repeating intervals with a short "rest" period in between. The optional watchband keeps us joined at the wrist so no worries about setting it down and losing it. Great for home or PT use, this exactly what I was looking for. Kudos also for the easy opening package.

I love this interval timer. It is simple to set up and easy to use. I would give it five stars. However, I had an issue with a previous timer going bad after several uses in high humidity. The company replaced the timer, so there are no complaints about the customer service. I recommend buying the available skin to protect the timer from moisture.

Here's how it actually works.1 There are 2 countdown timers. When you press the Start button, the first timer starts counting down.2 On reaching zero, the box beeps for the number of seconds you select. That's what's great about this GymBoss, you don't need to do anything, the alarm shuts itself off.3 If set, the second timer starts counting down and beeps at zero. The second timer is optional.4 This completes a "round". The round counter counts up or down, your choice, and the loop repeats.5 If counting down, there's a distinctive "you're done!" sound when reaching zero. You can count down from a number you choose, or upwards from zero to 99 rounds.In addition to beeping, or instead of, the box can buzz. Buzzing is great when wearing headphones.You can pause everything by pressing Start 3 times. To resume, press Start again.And here's a trick I found that's not in the instructions. When done, or anytime, you can hold down the Start button to stop everything and reset the box back to round zero.

I have used Gymboss for years, love love them, as my boot camp instructor gave us all one to use. They last a long time I wanted to get a newer Gymboss and came across the Gymboss with wrist band and clip (both removable). So easy to customize and use. Gymboss is a must to any workout without spending a fortune. The Gymboss keeps you accountable for doing all your reps.... aka no cheating yourself. They also make great gifts for people in your life that you want them to get healthy.Update: I used the watchband with the Gymboss to teach a senior exercise class today it was perfect!!!! It allowed me to set the reps and rest period with a vibrate (instead of a beep) in between each one. The vibrate allows you to move from one thing to another without disruption of a loud beep. Thank you Gymboss for a great design!!
