I 've been playing guitar for 60 years. Mostly as a pro, but also as a luthier. I have tried several products from Guyker and I got to tell you, I'm VERY pleased!! I actually look for them now when searching for prducts. I've used various tuners (locking and not), guitar and bass, various tune-a-matic bridges, and a couple Stop Bar Tailpiece Tremolos. Very nice quality at a reasonable price!

Beautiful construction, but attachment plate is 1.5 mm wider than most 3 + 3 tuners, making the peghead for a slotted headstock much thicker than usual. If you know this and don't care, this is a beautiful tuner. I need to pay better attention to spec drawings.

These are shockingly well made. Having the bearing guides makes for a smooth and accurate tuning experience. One thing that would have been very helpful is including a paper cutout template.

I love that these have bearings on the ends. No other classical guitar tuning machines have that feature until you get up into the price range of more than twice the price of these. Those bearings make all the difference between tuners that stick in the holes and are difficult to tune and tuners that move smoothly and get the precise tension you want without having to go up and down several times before landing on the correct pitch. When I want to upgrade a cheap classical guitar, these are the top and often the only item on my list. I also recommend the gold colored one from the same brand. Both are fantastic.

Compré estos negros por petición de un cliente y luego ví los dorados compré ambos y creo que fue una excelente opción, ya que tiene prestaciones de marcas de costo mucho mayor de hasta 5 veces más que estos. Aquí si encontré más por menos. Altamente recomendados !

These were a 100% improvement. Metal components, bearing to smooth out tuning, and a bigger gear ratio for more accurate tuning. I did have to make new holes but that’s to be expected with any Instrument. I’m happy so far.

Bough these tuners because the seller claims they are made of metal. Well, they are not, the knobs are plastic. After dismounting the old ones what a surprise to see that, out of the 8 holes (4 each side) only 4 match the correct layout. The 4 in the middle do not. Therefore, I decided to make new holes and I finally fixed the new tuners. When I started tuning the strings, the knob of the 1st string just blew up. Bad plastic material obviously. So I ended up remounting the old ones (20 years old and still working!!), wasted another set of strings and now my guitar has 4 additional holes!!!!... I'm returning the pieces.

This was great value. When I searched the web for these tuners, other sellers wanted $50 to $80 for this same item without identifying the maker. I was looking for good quality replacement tuners when the first Takamine classical I purchased new at Gryphon Stringed Instruments in 1992 wore them out. I saw what I considered low quality substitutes in great abundance going for $50 or less. These Guyker’s grabbed my attention because of the construction using metal string posts, the 1 to 18 turning ratio, a pleasing appearance, and the exact same screw replacement measurements (important) seen on the tuner schematic. The center two screw holes did not match, however. This should not be unexpected; this review suggests how that can be remedied. By removing a small piece of the point on wood toothpicks I coated the ends with quality wood glue and gently tapped them into the unusable screw holes. It is important for the replacement screws to have solid wood to achieve support. The toothpicks can be broken off when set and shaved flush with the headstock using Exacto knife or something similarly sharp. I used a 1/16th drill bit (by hand) to remove just enough wood (barely breaking the surface) to get the new screws started. Most importantly, do not fasten the screws more than gentle firmness when attaching the machine tuners to the headstock. I am very pleased with the feel of these tuners and the way they look. I’m stoked, good luck!
