In years past the larger barrel shaped size was easily purchased.... including at retail locations. Now, only dentists have access.....at least that's been my experience.

My husband has been using these GUM brand refills in his Proxabrush sticks for years. He likes to use them to pick in between his teeth before he brushes with a regular toothbrush. He’s got a permanent dental bridge that spans quite a few teeth and so I guess dental floss just doesn’t work well for him. These brushes work well; they are good refills. It’s nice that they come in a in variety of sizes depending upon your preference and the space between your teeth. My husband buys the wide ones. He replaces his brush refills about every two weeks, but he says that it depends on how rough you are with it, and he is rough, so he has to replace them more frequently than others might need to.My husband recommends them. Like I said, he’s been using them for years. It’s very convenient to find them on Amazon. Sometimes they are hard to find in the stores. This was also a reasonable price.
