Device wont stay connected to guitar, suction cups keep releasing, even if I wet them first. replaced suction cups with Velcro and works better.

Well made unit and would have been better with smaller suction cups. Also, it didn't fit me well due to the angle it sits on my leg leaving it feeling unstable.

I like the idea of this support. Two problems I have:1) Suction cups are a little too large for the guitars I have2) two pieces slide apart too easily. Need something between the two pieces held together with bolt to stop them from moving when tightened.

I returnded this. I was kind of hoping to get rid of the foot stool and took a chance on the cheap version. Build wise, it's okay even it if feels a little flimsy. The wing screws held and the suction cups held on the guitar okay. I just never got it to sit in a position that was anywhere near correct. Mainly, I couldn't get the head of the guitar up high enough in a position that was stable. I gave it a few days, trying different positions on the guitar sides, angles and even what leg I put it on. No-go.I gave it three stars because I think for some it's going to be adequate given the price if they can find a position that works for them.

Very poor design. The two suction cups overlap (too close to each other) and therefore would not mount to guitar. Product does not work and was un-modifiable. Bracket for suction cups would need to be remade and drilled again with holes further apart. Poor, poor quality!

I also own the Ergo-play Tappert, and this is pretty close but needed a few hardware tweaks to remain stable - I found the generic suction cups to work great on both poly and french-polish finishes - my problem was that adjustment knob kept slipping under load 1) I removed the nut from the plastic knob assembly and tossed it aside 2) added a 1/4" (ID) x 1 1/4" (OD) x 1/8" rubber washer between the two metal frames 3) added 1/4" internal-tooth lock washers - 1 next to the plastic knob and 1 next to the metal knurled knob...tightened it up hard and it seems to hold pretty tight now...ALSO: the metal edges are sharp especially near the single suction cup where they rocked and dinged my guitar, so need to pad that area of the frame and be very careful using this....other than that it works totally fine.
