This is a fun gift for guitarists. Both capos are sturdy Shubb-style. (The wood-grain capo is actually metal, with a woody-looking veneer that's coffeehouse-legal for acoustic guitarists.) You also get six thick picks in an attractive selection of patterns, which nestle in a cute guitar-shaped wooden pick holder. The whole assortment is packaged in an elegant blue cardboard gift box – very Japanese vibe.

Nice set of capos. Holds tight and fits my D neck snug. Feels really well made. They look clean and the finish is beautiful. The case is made really well and looks just as nice. The picks are nit for me but nice. Great set and would make a perfect gift for any guitarist.

I thought overall everything in this set was well made. Good quality. The picks are fairly standard picks. 6 picks total, 2 different thicknesses 3 each. Standard thickness. Nothing too floppy or thick. Did not crack ro rip during my playtime with them. The little wooden pick holder is pretty cute and nicely hand crafted. It's small enough to keep on my desk so I dont loose picks and doesn't take up room. The kapos aren't bad I didn't have any problems with them on my acoustic. They felt a little cheap IMO but neither of them broke and they held the strings. Neither are heavy which is nice because it doesn't increase neck weight. The pick slot in each one was cool I dug that.Gosh, Overall for 18 dollars I think this is a pretty good set and would make an awesome gift for a new player.

This set of two guitar capos come as part of a nice, boxed gift set.The two capos themselves have good heft and weight to them and have strong springs. I tried them both on the 1st through 5th frets of three guitars: (1) A 2000 Gibson Les Paul Classic strung with 9s, (2) A 2002 Epiphone Les Paul Junior strung with 10s, and (3) a 2001 Ibanez AEF30-TVS acoustic-electric strung with 10s. The strong springs in both capos did a good job on all of those frets of all three guitars. The set also comes with six picks. Three felt like heavy and three felt like medium. The six picks fit inside a cool little wooden holder shaped like an acoustic guitar.I bought this item for the capos, but I have to say the gift box presentation makes this a nice gift idea, too. I think it would work well as a gift set for the casual guitar player, especially an acoustic guitar player. The capos though, are high quality enough and will do well for even a serious guitar player.

This arrived very well packaged. It's a nice looking gift set for the guitarist in your life. the capos are very nice and function well. The pick holder is somewhat different. It looks great, but there is no place to grip it easily to open it up. And you have to orient the picks correctly and do some work to close it. Seems like a lot of trouble for something that should be so simple. I have always wondered why pick holders are necessary, and maybe they are, but they need to be easier to handle than this one. And to confirm that I'm not just poorly coordinated, I had my wife try it and she had similar thoughts. Overall, a very nice looking set, but the pick holder needs a rethink.
