I purchased the smallest length because after my puppy slipped out of his halter I figured that I also needed to have him wear his collar when wearing his halter and I wanted to have both attached to the leash. It works wonderful for that purpose. Now, if he slips out of his halter, he is still attached to the leash by his collar, which is great for my peace of mind.

We purchased our first one March of 2024 and I am buying another. Not because the first one broke but because it makes sense to replace things like this, leashes, collars anything that secures your pet before it breaks. We take our sons husky on many walks during the day, in the woods at home, our driveway 1/4 mile, into stores, and all over the paths locally. We added this piece after the third time that he had escaped in one month. We also added a Fi GPS location system which we love. He now wears two collars, his Fi and his normal collar. At one point we had been walking him using two retractable leashes, one attached to each collar. We added this piece, attaching each clip to it's own collar when we are walking at home. When we hit the trails we put his vest on and attach one of these clips to his normal collar and one to the top clip of his harness. While we still have one point of failure with the ring on this clip it is welded and we have had no issues with it separating. He pulls, he goes through the woods, under everything, in water, and he can run. When he runs and he hits the end of his leash he hits hard and so far nothing has failed. I don't think this would work if you were trying to use it to walk two dogs but for our purpose of using it to secure him in two places it is perfect.

Just adopted two senior dogs who are very reactive on walks. They have both managed to slip their harnesses and though we got new harnesses and they SHOULD not slip again, it's still nerve-wracking to walk them when they become whirling dervishes. I was double-leashing them (one to collar, one to harness) which was a right royal pain. This gadget is perfect. I attach it to the harness and the collar and attach the leash to the coupler. No more issues. No leash tangling. I love it!!!

My pup slipped out of her harness one time and I told myself never again. She's terrified of life so I needed something as a backup in case it ever happened again. This thing is a game changer! I clip the middle O ring to my dog's leash and then one end to her martingale collar (a special collar she can't slip out of) and the other end to her harness. I prefer the harness to pull her first so she doesn't choke herself out and then the martingale as a backup. I just needed a way to hook both the collar and the harness to her leash so I got this. I tied a knot in the end that hooks to the harness so if she tries to pull it pulls on the harness first and then if that doesn't work it pulls on her collar. It has worked wonders! It's very durable, short enough that it doesn't add too much extra length and I believe it would work fine for dogs larger than mine (she's 30lbs).

I've bought quite a few of similar items from other sellers, but they've always been a bit too long, so I was happy to find a shorter one. Although the size of the straps are perfect, the clips are not only tiny but very, very loose and shaky. This makes for weak points and unreliability in both of the most important parts of the item. This on turn puts your dog at a very real risk of coming loose and escaping - the reason I bought the thing was to avoid that risk at all costs. So, if you value your dog's safety then stay well clear of this item! If the manufacturer changes all of the these clips for stronger, better made ones then they'll have a great product...but frankly I don't see that ever happening, do you? It's not even a cheap item!

Decent little seatbelt to my tiny dogs body harness. Just what I needed for her travel case seat.

I bought this to attach both of my Chihuahuas in their car seat. The seat only had one karabiner type clip but this allows me to keep them both secure. It’s good quality and feels durable too.

This is exactly what I was looking for! I bought the 4 inch version but wish it came in a 2 inch with smaller clips.I foster dogs and with the small chihuahuas they can slip out of a harness easier then some of the bigger dogs when they are scared. With foster dogs we are supposed to use both a slip lead around the neck and another leash on the collar or harness. But I find it to be annoying when walking juggling the 2 leashes. This 2 clip gizmo allows me to attach it to both her collar and harness while only carrying 1 leash!!Very sturdy and well made! I did cut it to swap the clip for a lightweight carabiner to meet my needs but would definitely buy again!!!! Easy to cut and sew and still very sturdy!

We use this for our dog who is prone to slipping his collar and running off. He now wears a harness and a collar, attached with this splitter. We attach his leach to the O ring on the splitter. Peace of mind and now he can't slip out of anything without a back-up in place.

Walking my two dogs used to be an enjoyable affair for all. Then we got a puppy, and walks became a comedic disaster that always ended with me being hog tied or in some other compromising position. This 4 inch two way couple allows me to walk my two older dogs (12 & 16 lbs) on one lead and the puppy on a separate lead. This works out nicely. I ordered a three way coupler, and I'm going to start conditioning the puppy to walk with it, too.A few notes:1. The picture of the 4 inch coupler is slightly misleading. It looks like the two straps are sewn together, but really they are just rubber banded together for packaging, and the coupler is designed like the other pictures where the straps are just sewn to the ring. I actually am happy about this because it is a better design.2. You want to select the shortest coupler that will allow you to link your dogs together and squat for potty, no longer. Being right close to each other minimizes the tangles and "every which way" factor. I also think being close up on eachother mentally puts them into "business mode" rather than "stroll" mode. The 4 inch coupler is great for similiarily sized dogs. I ordered the three way 12 inch couple becuase my third dog is bigger than the rest. I can't imagine every wanting a 24 inch coupler. Furthermore, these couplers work best with a short leash that keeps your dogs right by your side.3. There is a learning curve where your dogs have to learn to walk together- a few walks. Imagine being tethered to your sibling when you were little. You'd need to work out how to walk together. Same with the dogs. I recommend starting with a short stint on the coupler after a long walk so that the dogs are not wound up and have gotten all their potties out. It shouldn't take many times to get the hang of it.
