In July of 2024 I became the pet parent of two "Poodle Doodle" puppies. They are miniature poodle/sheepdog and they are full of boundless energy. This double leash works great as I can control them both on one lead. They have learned to walk side by side and not pull on the leash. The leash itself is made of sturdy material which has some "give" to the part of the leash attached to the pups. This is a great solution to the problem of controlling two dogs at the same time. I recommend this product to any dog owner.

This leash is AMAZING! My dogs think they can walk all over the place. If looking to train dog to be on your side, then maybe not a split leash, but my dogs weigh over 200lbs put together so I need this to be able to tie leash around my waist to control them.

Unfortunately this looks like a wonderful product, but it didn’t work well for me. I have a senior dog who is 14 and a puppy that is three and the puppy walks pretty fast and my older dog doesn’t ,so it was kind of dragging the older dog along, and I couldn’t use it

Love this! This makes it so much easier to walk two dogs alone that are constantly crossing each other. Great quality, doesn’t tangle, and durable when they pull the leash. Worth the money!

I have been helping a friend who has medical issues by taking her dog along when I walk my dog. It was quite a "handful" with two leashes, so I decided to try a double dog leash. It does take some getting used to, but now I would never go back to two separate leashes. You learn how to handle the leash/leashes so one dog's movements don't control the other dog too much. This is a good quality product at a very reasonable price, and has just the right amount of elastic so that the two dogs don't jerk each other when they go in different directions - however it is not TOO elastic which would reduce your control over the dogs. So far, I'm very pleased with this product.

Updated review after a couple of weeks (original review below this):I stopped using this product because it caused *both* 12lb dogs (one rescue who is working on being comfortable on-leash and one who typically LOVES going for walks) to fear even the sight of the leash. I thought I was being careful enough not to let them get hit by the leash clasp & this product's spinner component, but it's not really possible to prevent all the time unless both dogs have pristine leash manners and stay perfectly side by side. I've tested this as an attachment on a 5' leash and on a long 40' lead, I've tested this while actively walking and while sitting down in the yard. No matter what, it turns into a medieval flail (aka the spiky ball attached to a handle via a chain) in the eyes of the dogs and they flinch when they see the leash coming. I wish I could return this. 😔Original review after a few days:Overall, a satisfactory purchase that I expect will last a long time. I wouldn't use this for big dogs who pull a lot, and it has to be extended to maximum length or else it's a bit short. I decided to use a different leash than I originally intended because the weight of the clip on my leash & the loop connector on this item were bordering on dangerously heavy to be swinging around so close to my dogs.

I've had this for a couple of weeks, and have taken both of my pups out about a dozen times. I have two goldendoodles; one 70 lbs, and the other a 30+ growing puppy.Pros: It looks nice. I like the slight bungee feature in the individual leashes. My pups are good about not pulling (young one still learning), but this does provide comfort for when they aren't in sync. Good shock absorber. They aren't getting tangled, the swivel feature is a plus and works. I feel like it is well made, sturdy, I feel confident when walking my pups.Cons: The straps are adjustable, but once set to the desired length, they do not stay put. I purchased an 8" looped traffic leash attachment to use with this because I want to keep my dogs close to me on our walks. I have repeatedly shortened the length of the leads to the shortest length possible... but neither side will stay. I have to stop several times to shorten them to my desired length during every walk.I'm going to keep it, but will have to sew the leashes to keep them permanently fixed at the length I want. I don't typically leave reviews, but this bothered me enough to want to share my experience.

Avoid. My dog is a bit of a pulled, but you shouldn't have to worry about the leash breaking. The leash broke mid walk and my dog almost ran into oncoming traffic
