Looking for a reliable good quality FTA Satellite Receiver? Look no further. The GTMedia V8X is an excellent satellite receiver. No operational problems ... it just works. Easy to set up, fast Blind Scans, easy to operate and upgrade. There is meaningful support for this box via the GTMedia Forum. I really enjoyed having a North America Satellite List available. It can take a considerable amount of time to build that list from scratch. The first thing you should do is to upgrade the Firmware to the latest version. I am very satisfied with this product.

1. Unit requires lnb power to be on to properly search channels. And even then, it gets mixed up.2. With lnb power turned off, between 2 and 3 volts is still presnt at lnb outlet, indicating hardware fault.3. Would not recommend this unit.4. Previous GTMedia Units did not have this issue, but could not be used to record full length programs due to a 4 gig limit in recording.
