I used this to remove rust stains from a concrete porch. The rust stains originated from some old steel planters we had on our porch. The product did a decent job of lightening the appearance of the rust stains, but it didn't remove the stains entirely. This could be partly because the stains had been there for years (not fresh). On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the worst stain, it did reduce the years old stains from level 10 to a level 3 or 4.

Works well to remove rust. It will fade paint a little bit, so test it on an inconspicuous area if using on a painted surface

Finally a consumer chemical product that did what it was supposed to without fuss. After lengthy exposure to well water, my beige vinyl siding was terribly rust stained and most things I tried did nothing to help get it off. This products ads said you could just spray it on and the rust would come off.....yeah right.I gave it a shot, using a spray bottle, I applied it to the siding in preparation for all the scrubbing I would be doing. To my total amazement the rust film just disappeared. It didn't even run down the side of the house....it disappeared. I have never used a household chemical that was this totally effective.Watch for vapors though.....this stuff does not feel good in the sinuses.

I had some iron stains on my new driveway caused by fertilizer pellets that I did not know how escaped the spreader until after the first rain. The instructions say to apply full strength, then allow stain to disappear and rinse. Repeat if necessary." On concrete, the stains certainly did not "disappear." They noticeably lightened, which was a good start. I applied about five times, and each time the stain got lighter, but it still isn't gone. I did not try scrubbing nor did I use a pressure washer. The good news is that with relatively little work, the stain went from absolutely horribly ugly too an annoyance I could live with if I had to. Nevertheless, it does work on concrete, and $10 for a gallon and the price is not unreasonable.

On my white vinyl fence. Gets rid of rust caused by my well water for my sprinkler system. Just spray and rinse off and all the yellow rust stains are all gone. I used it on my cement driveway and it cleaned my driveway too good. It cleaned and brightened up the cement on a 15 year old driveway. so much, that I now have to spray my entire 6 car driveway to match it up now. Works better than expected.

As EVERYONE else has said, it is REALLY nice to have a product that works EXACTLY as-described by the manufacturer. My property also has in-ground irrigation sprinklers that water the lawn / shrubs, but of course the water also touches other stuff.Because my water has iron it leaves rust stains.I fill the 32 oz ZEP professional pump spray bottle sold at the big box home improvement stores, then spray all the rust stains and the stains disappear. I carefully removed the label from an empty gallon bottle, folded it and taped it around the spray bottle. I use a small plastic funnel to transfer from the gallon bottle to the spray bottle. My long-term usage of this product revealed that eventually the pump sprayer stopped working. My resolution was to submerge the spray assembly in warm soapy water and actuate the lever until normal operation was restored.Depending upon the wind conditions there is a not nice smell that is probably not good. The manufacturer's SDS says: "When used as directed, respiratory equipment should not be needed." I'm not using breathing protection but I get away from the fumes as quickly as possible. When I first started using this on the deep / dark stains I attempted to attain better / lesser usage of the product by using a toothbrush to help the product work better. In my mind on those well-established stains the brushing helped me conserve product. Now it is just a quick spray to attain clean results. It is also used on my painted building walls, where hit by the sprinkler water. I also use it on my flagpole. Everything else, like the concrete curbing the driveway, retains the rust stains.
