I was able to drive a 5/8”x 8’ copper ground rod in place leaving about 2” above ground in about a minute. Perfect too for the job!

used with my DeWalt hammer drill and it did hep with the ground rod but still had to switch to a sledge at the end. this was more my hammer drills issue but maybe with corded unit it would have been better. unit it self held up great. construction was very solid

You can cut your installation of grounding rods by 75%. This makes driving a 8ft cooper grounding rod easy and effortlessly. For easy of installation, just wet the ground prior and throughout the hammering.

Well made, solid construction, & works as intended. We'll see how well it will hold up. I'll follow up with updates if there are any changes.Overall I would highly recommend purchasing this Ground Rod Driver, SDS Plus Ground Rod Driver, Ground Rod Driver for Hammer Drill, Suitable for Compatible Bosch Dewalt Milwaukee Hilti and Other SDS-Plus Rotary Hammer Drill ToolsFinally this review is of my own honest opinion & is not swayed in anyway by other influences.

If you're tired of just beating on a rod to drive it into the ground, get this baby out. It saves a lot of time and trouble. Used it a couple times so far and it holds up every time.

I didn't realize that such a thing as this existed until I found it on Amazon. I had to drive two 5 ft ground rods in and originally thought I would have to bash it in with a sledge hammer. What I didn't know is I really should have gotten one in a smaller diameter as my rods are much skinnier than the diameter supported by this driver. The other thing I discovered is that a regular DeWalt DCD798 drill with a hammer mode is not really the best tool to use with this driver. You can't really get as good a grip on the drill as a real hammer drill with a side handle. That being said, I was still able to use this driver and the DeWalt hammer drill to get it in most of the way and then finish it off with a sledge hammer.

Fits in my SDS driver and hammers. I tried it on some proud ground rods in my yard and will report back if it breaks or anything in the future.
