The arrived in good condition. I sampled one and was surprised by the flavor. It wasn't chalky or bland. Will definitely work in survival mode. Not bad for a snack on hiking or camping

I got these thinking they should go on the shelf and last for a time when food is scarce. I bought two so that I could try them. I did not receive a compromised package as some reviewers claim, but I opened one nonetheless. They are individually wrapped internally, but not very high integrity on the internal packages. Would keep them dry from light moisture, but dont let them get actually wet, they would not survive the ordeal. The outer package is well structured and the vacuum seal is decent enough.What really got me however was the taste. It didnt hit me right away, but I felt like I was eating makeup. The wife had a taste as well, and she got the taste in an instant. They taste like chapstick. Which is an odd flavor even for survival food. I cannot escape the flavor, and its definitely chapstick.. Perhaps the binders are made of the same material.Gross but ultimately palatable.

I bought two of these, one to try and one to have for emergencies. Good thing because the package integrity of one unit was compromised and lost the air tight seal. That's the one I opened to try out. The second went into my emergency bag. This is most likely an amazon fullfillment issue and not an issue with the product itself.The flavor is pretty good, think blueberry cheesecake crust. Small size is a plus. The bars hold together and don't crumble much or at all. Not hard to bite into. Each of the 9 bars are individually wrapped in the package. I'm weighing my options, but this is higher quality contender for when I decided on what to stock for emergency situations.

Haven't tried the product so can't comment on how it tastes, but will comment on the lottery you play when ordering these from River Colony Trading where "your satisfaction is our top priority." (Fulfilled by Amazon). Needless to say not satisfied with part of my shipment and have no recourse or way to contact them to request help to make me satisfied with my order.Like other reviews before this it seems the Blueberry may be an issue with sealing as I received three different flavors of the same emergency energy bar from the same seller and the other two are sealed perfectly for long term emergency storage as intended. However, the Blueberry came filled with air and loose versus vacuum sealed like the other two. In the Amazon listing it states "This item is non-returnable, but if the item arrives damaged or defective, you may request a refund or replacement". The problem is when you go to request a replacement for the damaged or defective product it then says this item is not returnable or replaceable. I tried in vain to work through Amazons purposefully difficult support process only to always arrive at the same useless virtual assistant. I think its endless and a pain the butt on purpose so you just give up, but if I were River Colony Trading I might investigate this further as it's impossible to make "Your satisfaction is our top priority." if there is no way to contact the seller to make it right.So if you buy just know ahead of time that if you get a vacuum seal compromised pouch you're out of luck as there is no way to request a replacement for damaged goods even though it says you can. Good Luck!
