Very easy to remove and install. Excellent design with the dual spools. Greenworks garden tools are the best I have ever used. Rugged and reliable.

I actually thought there was something wrong with my trimmer. It turns out there was something wrong with the generic line I'd been using. This stuff feeds well and doesn't snap off at the base every time it hits a tough stem.

I visited numerous stores to find this exact size but eventually purchased it here. It works great, is of good quality, and I will buy it again.

It’s a little too large of diameter for my Ryobi string trimmer(0.097”)but it lasts long than the 0.080”. The twistedness seems to make it last longer. I think. So far so good. 👍🏼

This spool is different than the one that came with my 80V Greenworks string trimmer, so it doesn't fit. Even my user manual lists this product as the replacement spool, so maybe I need to check where my trimmer was manufactured and see if they spelled Greenworks correctly...smh

After pouring through dozens of reviews and answers to questions, I found confirmation this would fit my particular Greenworks trimmer.Bought two spools which arrived very next day. Upon opening, I found they were not wound to the max with trimmer line; in fact the amount of line on the spool was surprisingly chincy considering how cheap the .080 line costs in bulk. Whatever. Went out to install on my trimmer.Immediately got confused and found a YT video on my phone how to install, which was very helpful. The line wanted to naturally unwind on the spool once you free it from the edge notches that hold the ends in place. It was a bit of a chore to keep the line tightly wound on the spool while at the same time feeding the ends through the exit holes on the spool cover. I eventually got it fed and the cover snapped back over and got to work trimming. After about 20 minutes, one of the lines broke and retreated back inside the spool cover. I stopped working and removed the cover to re-feed that end out of the exit hold. I discovered that it was not wound properly and could not advance out anyway, and I would have to rewind the entire spool. This wound up (no pun intended) being far easier to do that I anticipated. Just take all the line off, find the mid point of the entire length and bend it there, then place the bend under the notch located on the dividing rim between upper and lower halves of the spool. Hold the two halves of line tight with one hand while turning the spool with the other, keeping watch that both halves stay on their own side of the spool while turning. When you've got just about 8 inches left, stop winding. Use middle and index fingers of the turning hand to hold the wound line in place while manipulating the spool cover and line ends through the exit holes.. When the line ends are fed through, snap the cover over the spool as you release your fingers. You should have equal lengths now protruding from the holds, and when you run the trimmer, the blade should cut any excess to give equal length to both sides.I got the hang of this in just a few minutes, and going forward will probably not order pre-wound spools again because bulk trimmer line is so much cheaper and it's relatively simple to wind it on there yourself. Plus you will be able to put way more line on there than what the pre-winds come with.

Hat nicht, wie erwartet, auf meinen 80V Trimmer gepasst. Somit konnte die nur die Schnur verwendend. Und die war einen Millimeter dünner, als die Originale. Alles in allem das Gegenteil eines Schnäppchens. Schade.
