This is an exact match for the one I replaced. I had to replace because my green houses fans went out and temp got way too hot. Too hot will break the lifter! Beware of hot temperatures they will destroy these. Price is good and they work under the right conditions.

It stated that the window would slide into place and stay. Not true. I went to the hardware store and bought a door strip cut it and screwed it in.Extra work but done.

Our greenhouse window hinges bent after a huge windstorm came through. This replacement works. It was easy to install. Kind of like set it and forget it, until winter, when we remove it for the winter.

I got this in the winter so my greenhouse would be ready in the spring. Come to find out, when my green house gets hot (95F) and above, this does not work.I am outside the return window as I got this back in December and it is now April. I really need my window to open to help vent the extreme temperatures out, but this unit just won't extend. Short of placing this in an oven at 170F, I am not sure how to test this when purchased in the winter.The concept is cool though. I only wish it worked. And maybe they do work... just not the one I bought.

Got a inexpensive greenhouse for free a few years back and learned about these last year. Purchased one last fall to see if they would work, and it did fantastic so bought a second one for the other window. We were able to adjust it to open at a specific temperature. It still amazes me how simple it is and how great it works. Just need to remove the cylinder in the winter to extend its life.
