Tips for Installation

Check the battery info sticker on the box, to confirm if it matches your phone model before open it.

If the new battery cannot power on your phone:

1. Clean the battery connector with a piece of sandpaper or a hard bristle brush to remove the oxidation layer.

2. Check if other flex cables on the mainboard are connected properly.

3. Use your original adapter charger to charge the battery for 30min, if your phone does not show any signs of charging, use a different android adpater charger to try.

Overall the battery seems like it's decent quality but they give you a bunch of extra tools you don't need for this job and they don't provide proper resealing adhesive to reseal the back once you're done. Also, the battery pack itself has adhesive strips already placed on the back but based on the Motorola One Action if you use these strips they will sit on the ribbon cables that are recessed in to the phones housing. If you ever had to remove the battery again with that adhesive sitting on the cables you have a high likelihood of possibly tearing or ripping the cable. Would have received 5 stars had the proper adhesive been provided and the battery adhesive issue. It functions just as well as the OE battery. You actually get 100mah more on this battery than the OE one according to them on the OE battery spec. Charging speed is just as good as the OE if not a little better. The new battery will definitely refresh your phone if you've never replaced yours. Will update for longer term to see how it holds up.

Loved the tools. Could have use a listing of procedures versus viewing videos. Would have been great to have the simple Moto restart instruction included instead of having to do another inet search. Could have been 5 stars of battery connection hadn't failed after several attempts.

The phone's manufacturer would have you believe that the batteries are irreplaceable. Yet here it is, a replacement battery.Added years to my phone.Tools are included and there are videos online with step by step instructions.

The battery is a quality replacement. The tool kit needs some work. The ad said to contact the seller for instructions and they would send a link. I did, giving the model of the phone, but they never replied. I was stuck using a video I found on YouTube. So what follows are my installation tips and observations: (This is for a Moto E 2020)1. Include instructions or a piece of paper with a link to your video instructions. Simple.2. The suction cup was worthless because the ring that you use to pull on it is flimsy an unbent.3. The plastic sheet was pretty worthless for opening the case. I heated the case up with a hair dryer and pulled up on the back with the suction cup to create an opening but the ring on the suction cup just opened up. Tried to use the plastic sheet to open a gap in the case but the sheet just bent. I ended up using a .004" feeler gauge. If you don't have feeler gauges (doesn't everyone?) a knife blade should work, just to get it open. Then stick the plastic sheet into the opening and work it around the perimeter of the case.4. Be patient and careful working around the lenses.5. The back of the case is held on with a black gooey adhesive. If you are careful not to mess it up you can simply re-use it. The video I watched said to remove it. This is un-necessary. If you mess up part of it you can replace that part with the supplied adhesive, which is on the flat strip in the kit.6. Don't remove the back all the way. Once it is free, heat the fingerprint sensor and then push it in until it releases from the back. It's held in place by black goo which can be re-used.There are 11 screws that you must remove to take out the motherboard frame. One of them is underneath where the fingerprint sensor sits.7. To remove the frame, lift it on the side near the battery. It clips in to the top edge of the case.8. I heated up the phone from the front to get the adhesive to release the battery. It was still hard to pry it up. I got it going with the pry tool shaped like a T. Once it started to let go I shoved the plastic sheet under the battery to try to release the adhesive. It didn't work well. I ended up using a flat blade screwdriver to lever up the battery and the sheet to release the adhesive.9. If you don't mess up the battery adhesive just leave it there.10. The new battery has a plastic sheet on the bottom. I thought it was an insulator. It isn't. It covers the adhesive that is on the new battery. Remove the sheet before installing the battery.11. The battery should be installed up against the top edge of the battery recess or the flat flex cable may not reach.I hope this helps future customers. Definitely check out the Youtube videos, because you're not going to see any instructions from this vendor.
