This kit has but new life into my iPhone 8 which wouldn't keep a charge for the entire day. Now I can run it all day long and still have more than 50% charge at the end of the day. The installation instructions were good, but I recommend watching a few YouTube videos on how to change the battery before you attempt doing it. I was also pleased that the kit came with a replacement seal to help keep out moisture. Most of the video people didn't show replacing the seal. It was very time consuming but well worth the effort.

I used to be an Apple Certified mobile tech and I ordered this battery after having a rash of bad luck with batteries expanding after less than a year of ownership.Welp this one wasn’t even installed for 3 months before its life was shortened and it started expanding. Poor design it seems.

READ THE FOLLOW TEST I RAN…….2hours 30 minutes at 5v 4.8 amp to charge 12,000mah. I had to search YouTube to learn how to replace it. Fit just right and overall was worth the purchase whereas an original iPhone battery is three times the cost at only 3110mah. So you essentially are more than four times the capacity at 1/3 the price. Keep in mind you get the message that it’s not original but other than that works like original iPhone battery that iPhone tries to force you to buy. I will be buying two more for other phones I have. Update: I purchased two more, one for my wife and one for my father in law three months later and both of them had almost the exact same test results. WELL WORTH THE MONEY.

We replaced the screen on an iPhone 11, and it started draining the battery very quickly (less than a day). This one is a bit better, but it will still drain to empty within a day, despite mostly setting on the counter. This is a backup phone that is not used much. So, I think the battery is fine. The issue seems to be the aftermarket screens use a lot more power.

The tools provided in the kit were not the best, if I didn’t have other better quality tools, I am not sure if I would of been able to change out the battery. But most importantly the battery doesn’t last as long as I would like. Yes, it last more that my old battery, Yes it last 8 hours when using my phone for navigation and a couple video meeting, but I was expecting more out of my new battery, at least till I went to bed. This will be the last time I will change out my battery by my self, as it requires lots of patients and not to mention the low quality tools that the kit comes with make it almost impossible to do the work.Overall the new battery didn’t meet my expectations. It was just good. Oh and your phone will not tell you anymore the health life of your battery since it’s not a genuine battery.Only do this operation, if you have good quality tools, are super patient, have a well lite working station and you are just wanting your phones battery to improve to “good”.

The good: The battery is clean and has nice fitted tape. The replacement seal installed very easily with the template. The meh: the tools are ok I have seen / used better but they will get the job done mostly. If you want to remove the Taptic Engine or speaker to make battery removal easier the tools will not remove The standoff screws for the speaker and tactic engine. The bad: as of right now, the iPhone XR is reporting this battery as unknown and has no idea about capacity charge or anything else and just throwing an error in general. I suppose if you don’t care about that then this would be a good fit however I suppose I’m going to have to return this battery for a different type as I want to make sure the phone performs correctlyUpdate: the phone is now claiming water in the charging port and refuses to charge correctly. There is no water in the port nor has it been near water. I would avoid this one.
