So my wife's Pixel 5 battery was in its death throes...went from 100% to zero charge in under an hour of normal use. I figured I'd try to replace it myself, and bought this kit.It went well enough (although instructions relating to using adhesive when rebuilding were missing--but they are shown in the Amazon page description) right up until the step of actually removing the battery.That did not work, at all. Nor did youtube videos help. I ended up destroying peripheral components trying to pull that sucker out. No go.This was a refurbished phone. My working hypothesis is that when the battery was replaced the last time, someone used a whole lot of adhesive, far more than was necessary. IAC it was $20 and two hours wasted, unless you count the lessons learned, which I guess is something.

Everything was fine. I had no trouble getting the back off because the swollen battery did most of the work. My only trouble was that only 2 of the 3 glue tabs came off; the third broke. Getting the battery out was difficult. So... be careful with the glue tabs so they don't break.

Battery was good but the phone i had developed a problem in the port. Wouldnt charge properly . No longer have the phone. Now have Samsung galaxy. Much better quality than stylo lg.

The instructions are a poorly abridged version of the iFixit instructions, complete with their pictures showing their proprietary tools. I could've looked past that but my adhesive is straight up missing a corner which I know will severely compromise my phone's water resistance if I was to use it as is. This coupled with the passive aggressive note on the box asking that it not be returned open and the difficulty of dealing with lithium batteries means I now have a $20 box of hazardous waste. Very cool product and magical quality control

I purchased this to replace my aging Pixel 3 battery. The batter has now been working well in my phone for a couple of weeks and I have no complaints about the battery.However, there is room for improvement with the kit tools provided, which is the reason for 4/5 stars. The hardest part of any Pixel 3 battery replacements is getting the case opened. You should watch a lot of videos to get motivated for this! I used a hair dryer to soften the glue and it took a lot longer (5-8min) to get the glue loosened. The kit would benefit from including more of the triangular picks to hold open the case as you slowly (and gently) pry it open. Otherwise it's hard to prevent the open parts from closing and resealing. It's great that the kit includes adhesive to reseat the battery, but the adhesive is very difficult to work with and mostly stuck to itself after which it became useful. Finally, the instructions that were emailed to me seem to have been created for other sellers' kits and so it was not clear at the start how I was supposed to use the tools provided in this kit. As I mentioned, there are a lot of youtube videos on this, so you can get around this.

Comes with all you need to replace the battery in a Pixel 4a. Just be sure to keep up with the TINY screws. And also notice the length of the screws, They are different! Love the pre-aligned screen adhesive that comes with the kit. Just line it up right, because it sticks good!

The battery fit perfectly and restored new life back into my phone. The hardest part of the install was removing the glass back from the phone. It broke as I was doing it, I would suggest ordering a new back as well when replacing the battery. Couldn't be happier with the new battery!!!!
