I love these. The covers are actually hard, as claimed, and the paper is attached firmly. The paper feels good to write on.

I used these at a summer workshop I attended. The squares allow for easy schematic drawing as well as writing. To be honest, I really enjoyed using them. The workshop wasn’t long so a large notebook wasn’t needed. I love that I can organize so that a single topic is covered in a single notebook. It was pretty perfect. Pages allowed for smooth writing and the notebooks were well constructed.

The 48 pack, Kraft cover, colored spines are the perfect notebooks for beginners to advanced Korean studies. This is my 3rd...4th??...order of these now.I'm not sure about the lines being too dark in the marble colored ones, but I color-code EVERYTHING, and the Kraft covered ones, I have used everything from black ink to a golden yellow gel ink pen and am able to see all of my writing without issues. (In fairness, I have not tried pencil, as I hate writing with pencils.)The grid lines are easy to see, making writing the Korean characters much less "sloppy" compared to using plain or lined notebooks while the colored spines allow you to dedicate - and easily recognize - one color per area of study (grammar, vocab., etc.) or by study material (for those learning on their own, use one color for your favorite YouTube channel, one for your favorite textbook, etc.), plus, they are small enough to fit in any backpack (or even slightly larger purses or "fanny packs") for studying on the go. Add in the Kraft cover, and they don't get destroyed easily with repeated use, either. In short: These are the ONLY notebooks I will ever use for my Korean studies from now on!

They are great except that the grid lines are really dark so it makes it hard to read pencil writing.
