About this item

  • ALL-IN-ONE CARVING TOOL - Speedcutter is suitable for polishing, grinding and cutting non-metal materials & all kinds of wood.
  • NO OVERHEATING - Due to special construction carving blade creates reasonable radial resistance value at high rotation speed rates (13 200 RPM). That's why GRAFF SPEEDCUTTER doesn't overheat even after continuous work.
  • PROVEN MATERIAL - Our disc is made of qualitative instrumental steel and hardmetal (TUNGSTEN CARBIDE) teeth with laser sharpening, that provides ideal cutting.
  • SAFE WORK - GRAFF wood carving disc has a unique form where disc's body has feed stop that provides NO KICKBACK so working with SPEEDCUTTER is safer than with any chainsaw & simple saw blades.
  • CERTIFICATED - Our wood carving disk was certified by MPA Hannover.

Bought this based on a YouTube video where I saw it used, it worked great and the results were better than other methods using a flap wheel or sanding disc.

I purchased this to help me cut an over grown cedar hedge. Some of the stocks were about 1 1/2" to 2" thick. This worked great for my purposes. "Caution: This This blade cuts hard and fast. Please be careful."I would buy this again.

This blade does a great job. I was grinding wood in a tight spot near brick and mortar. This caused the blade to dull faster. That’s really the only reason I am giving them 4 stars instead of 5.

This thing is amazing, when I bought it I was very skeptical, I partially bought it to prove it wrong. I didn't believe it would actually work. This will not replace a roto zip because it's too aggressive but will cut like a circular saw through anything a Sawzall demo blade can cut!

This is a review of 2 Amazon items used together, the Freud DS0903CP3 Diablo 9" Carbide Pruning Reciprocating Blade and the GRAFF SPEEDCUTTER 5 Wood Carving Disc for Angle Grinder - Circular Saw Blade for Cutting, Sculpting & Shaping - 7/8" Arbor - 125mm.I have a few stumps in the yard that I wanted to remove. I shoveled off the top layer of dirt to expose part of the roots. I used a reciprocating saw with a standard DeWalt pruning blade and each blade would become dull after cutting 1 or 2 roots, causing the saw blade to start smoking and would not cut anymore, which is typical when you expose any sharp blade to dirt - but not the Diablo blade . The Diablo kept cutting through roots while laughing at the surrounding dirt like it was not there. I also got a head start on the larger roots by first cutting through as much as possible with the GRAFF SPEEDCUTTER 5 Wood Carving Disc for Angle Grinder. This is a beast on a 4.5/5 inch cordless Hercules angle grinder and does the heavy lifting through 3/4 of the exposed 2 inch roots and I cut the rest with the Diablo blades, along with the smaller roots. I then put rope around the remaining stump and pulled it out with a 4,900 lb winch, again using the Diablo when a remaining root under tension became exposed. Happy days playing in the dirt.

This thing is a beast. I just bought a new DeWalt 4.5”-6” grinder (60v version) and was looking for a circular saw type blade that I could use on some difficult angle cuts that I needed to make on a felled tree. The tree had some great wood that I wanted to process, but there was a section of rot in it that I needed to cut out, which I just couldn’t cut easily by using my chainsaw, circular saw, etc. So I wanted to get a blade that gave me more flexibility in angles, but without the insane prices that some woodworking companies charge for such a blade. I found this one and boy did this thing cut great right out of the package. Took me only a couple minutes to carve out the rotted section despite having to make multiple angled passes at it. Suffice to say, I would not hesitate to recommend this blade for the quality and the price. And this is coming from someone who generally buys more expensive tools and accessories due to my fear of wasting money on inferior quality items.

This monster does the job like right now!I shape oak for art pieces. Before I found out about it, I cut slits in wood and chiseled them out. Wrong. Then I started using a 7 inch circular saw freehand, which is exciting and effective. People stay out of your way. Then a woodworker recommended this tool. Thank you! This wheel works as fast as the circular saw, and for freehand work this wheel cuts more cleanly. Also, with this wheel, a 7 amp grinder doesn't buck wildly and threaten to cut your thigh to the bone.I considered getting a chainsaw grinder wheel. Imagine the possibilities. Find chainsaw wheels right here on amazon. You will also find fairly gruesome pictures of wounds inflicted by grinders with chainsaw wheels. It's this way: you have to take off the safety shield to use a chainsaw wheel, and, well, you get the picture. I did not buy a chainsaw wheel. You have to take off the safety shield with this wheel too, but it's well designed and behaves well. With both hands firmly on the grinder, I feel relatively safe and do my work quickly and fairly accurately. This tool is only for experienced grinder users. I work with steel and I burn through grinders. I've never hurt myself grinding or cutting steel and I don't expect to hurt myself using this wheel carefully on wood. However, if you're relatively new to using an angle grinder, I suggest thinking again. Chaps or whatever won't save you. If this tool slips, there will be blood. There may be other, dedicated tools for rough shaping wood, but for less than $20, you can't beat this simple grinder wheel.Highly recommended. But BE CAREFUL!

I bought this blade to shorten a tree stump that I cut down a couple of years ago; I try to cut stumps short enough that they won't interfere with lawn mowers but this one was tricky; it was on a slightly slanted section of ground and one side was a tad too tall; I could mow over it, but my neighbor apparently uses a lower height setting and would 'clip it' occasionally. You can do costly damage to a lawn tractor, so I trimmed it down to a more ground-following level with this blade. I wasn't sure the blade would work. CAUTION! There IS a 'Learning Curve' with this puppy. People claim that this style blade produces no kickback but I quickly discovered that it has SIGNIFICANT, very difficult to control kickback. Luckily, I was holding it firmly when I touched it to the stump. It is a VERY aggressive blade that wants to dig in and move backward with a lot of force. That's what I meant, saying that this blade has a 'Learning Curve'. I adopted a flatter approach... more like the way you butter a piece of toast. Let the side of the blade contact the wood first. And if you're doing any kind of artistic carving with this blade on a high-speed grinder; I'd advise you to practice a few strokes on a less valuable piece of wood first, get an idea of the forces you're working with. And hold the tool tightly. It's a wonderful tool that will remove a lot of wood, quickly, just be careful, practice 'Tool Safety' and hold on tight. Good Luck.
