No issues. Works great. There are no issues with the range. I love this product because it uses two lithium AAA batteries instead of being "rechargeable", so it will last a long time. I use this at my lake house to monitor the lake's temperature, and I LOVE IT!! It also comes with an extra rubber gasket.

I’ve been looking for a wireless thermometer for the koi pond, and ran across this. I have a few other Govee products I’m happy with and already have the app installed, so this seemed perfect.The setup instructions seem complicated, but the app walks you through it very easily.Good range, seems to work great. The thermometer itself seems sturdy, made out of thick plastic with a digital display on top. The temperature reading agrees with the old analog thermometer, and I don’t have to walk down to the pond in the cold to check it

The probe itself powered on and was able to display the temperature on the display. The gateway however is another story. Plugging in the gateway instantly shows a red light meaning it cannot connect to the wifi. The instructions indicate to press the WiFi button to begin pairing and the indicator light should blink blue. That does not happen whether I give the WiFi button a quick press, multiple presses or press and hold for any amount of time.Setup in the Govee app says to search for a specific WiFi name which never appears because the device never enters that WiFi pairing mode.The reset button however seems to do something after holding for 10 seconds. The red light flashes a few times then goes back solid. I have never been able to connect this gateway to my WiFi network.Now I have a very fancy and expensive pool thermometer that's only useful if I go out to the pool to read it.Most disappointed in this product.

GoveeLife Smart Pool Thermometer is the best I've owned. Make sure to purchase the "gateway + sensors version". The gateway connects to the app and then to the terminators.. Seem-less connection proceed and I was up and running in very little time. I have two thermometer. One for the pool the other for fish pond. The thermometers are approximately 40' to 50' away from the house and the connection is great. Not one issue receiving the temperature when I look for it. Highly recommend.Note: ive bought 6 inkbirds and have had issues with connecting the thermometers with the app and trying to receive actual temperature. Don't but Inkbird!!!

Got this to monitor a hot tub.Battery life: batteries lasted a couple months before critical warning. Sure, remotes and mouse last longer, but this is updating to base and app all the time.Connectivity: works with Govee app, has Bluetooth and wifi, connected easily. Would be nice to integrate with Smartthings, butnotcomplaining.Was able to set custom ranges, so I would know if breaker trippedPerformance: ran continuously in batteriesApp: uses Govee app, updates temp, allows sett custom ranges. I have multiple Govee items connected.Overall very satisfied,

Seems so much better than a version I purchased 5 years ago, now lost in a hurricane.Easy to setup ONCE YOU INSTALL AND FOLLOW THE APP. Written instructions are tiny and not sequential in how they are laid out.STEP 1 download app. Tegister as a new user, but yiu do NOT need any elevated level to get the full benefit from your thermometer.STEP 2 plug the "pod" into an outlet near the pool and inside your house (nothing I could find that said an outside outletwas okay. This will link the thermometer to wifi to your phone app.NOTE My wifi is combined 5 & 2.4. No problem connecting.STEP 3 unscrew top of thermometer. Then open battery compartment in top by sliding the cover. Install 2 included batteries.NOTE: Do NOT screw the top back on until after the thermometer is connect to the Pod and wifi in STEP 5. There is a button on the inside the cover you need to push when you get to STEP 5.STEP 4 In the App add the Pod first and connect to Wifi. Follow instructions in App.NOTE: There are over a dozen pages in the app promoting other items from this company, mostly lighting.Stick to the home page to install the thermometer.STEP 5 Install thermometer in app. Follow app instructions.Reattach the top.CAREFUL, marker on top and base must line up. This is so the thermometer is more likely Waterproof. Takes a little muscle to move that last half inch.You should be good to go.Never did figure out the purpose of the extra Orange sealing ring. Not needed for operations. Good to have a back up.Maybe it is you can see the thermometer more clearly in the pool. But removing and replacing the existing grey seal seemed very difficult. So I did not go with the Orange.There is a widget that you can add to a screen on your phone that displays the thermometer temperature continuously. Very helpful.

Updated Review. Aftern leaving my review, the seller offered me a full refund. Totally unexpected but very much appreciated.Out of the box system worked great, gave me pool temp on my iphone. System lost it's wifi connection after 2 months and wouldn't reset. Only three months old and floating unit no longer shows temperature. Great concept but for me the system didn't last.
