I think maybe this would work for ages 4-7 possibly. But my son just turned 11 and this paddle is way too small for him..too bad it's so tiny.

I have several inflatable stand up paddleboards that I sometimes bring to our nearby lake for our church group to use. There are lots of kids, but we’ve always just given them the “adult” paddles. Now we can offer a “Kids Sized” paddle, which has a smaller grip, blade and shorter shaft that floats. Nice!This would be especially helpful for a child that is 5 years old up to about 12 or so.The quality of this paddle seems top-notch, although I’ve not had it long enough to use in the water. From experience, I can tell this has excellent fit and finish, everything works as expected and it feels light and comfortable in the hands.Carbon fiber provides strength with low weight, so that’s nice and the spring-loaded button which connects the central (hollow) shaft to the blade is better than most.The quality is good, perhaps even very good, but this hasn’t seen a few seasons of hard use by kids. So it may be too early to tell how well it would hold up.What I do know is that this is much more expensive than standard adult paddles, by as much as double or even a bit more. That’s a lot and one should consider how much use a paddle like this will actually get vs. an adult paddle that might suffice for a while and cost substantially less.Bottom line:Aside from price, this paddle excels in all ways that matter for a young user. It is feather light compared to other paddles. It goes together easily and adjusts easily, although an adult may be needed to help. It looks terrific and feels comfortable in the hands. The blade and grip is smaller than an adults paddle blade, but is “right-sized” for a smaller user.Comes with a zippered carry bag with adjustable shoulder strap.If you are in the market for a “better quality” paddleboard paddle, look no further.Recommended

This is an excellent kids paddle. The bag is a little large which is kind of weird but the construction quality is awesome and i'm excited to use it!

This is a well made and very high quality paddle that's obvious it has a lot of engineering in it. I bought this for my kids to use on the lake in their kayaks, but it could also be used as a backup paddle on your jonboat. It's a little small for anything larger than a kayak, but could be used to help steer the boat when fishing or to use if you get stranded somewhere on the lake.Overall, top notch quality and I look forward to using it more this summer.

They boast a 100 percent carbon fiber. Especially so at the time I ordered it. They still have discrepancies saying it's 100 percent carbon fiber. But then it say it's also fiberglass. Then the description says it's carbon fiber and nylon. None of this makes any sense. Completely false advertisement. I'm not even sure which claim they want me to believe at this point.

This children's stand-up paddleboard (SUP) paddle is exceptionally well-crafted. It is remarkably lightweight, featuring a carbon fiber construction, with the exception of the grip and the hardware that secures the components. This is indeed a child sized sup paddle, not just an adult paddle with a short handle. It is indeed all carbon fiber. And has some foam inside, so it floats. It is extremely light weight and stiff. It is adjustable to fit any child. Comes with a nice storage bag as well. It breaks down into 3 pieces, so it's easy to travel with.
