I replaced the tuners on my guild starfire guitar, these fit well although only 1 screw hole matched up with old tuners, none the less turned out great love the locking style tuners ,

These are the best locking tune ahead that you can buy. They are made in Japan and are high-quality. It makes changing your strings a 10 minute job before you know it. You’re in tune. No more tieing the strings So they don’t slip. No more getting poked in the finger and bleeding from changing your strings. All guitar should come with these standard equipment. These are simple drop installation. Gotoh Tuners are the best.

I bought these to Replace the original tuners on my re-issue of a 1957 Les Paul. They are a perfect fit. I didn’t even need to replace the bushels as these were an exact match. I was nervous about removing the old bushels and possibly damaging my neck, so it was a huge relief define that these tuners matched perfectly. The color of the tuning is also spot on. I originally bought Klinc Revolution tuners and they were really nice but the color of the tuning pegs differed and the bushel size was different. I like how Klusons had a 19:1 ratio (these are only 15:1) but honestly that’s fine and I would rather have the tuner match the original in look and sizing.

At first I LOVED these, they dropped in and looked great. Then I noticed that one key doesn't move right away as you turn it. I takes almost half a turn of the key before the post starts moving, for EITHER DIRECTION! Avoid these if you can. Plus they will make you send the entire set back to them before they authorize and ship out a replacement, instead of just have you send the defective ones back in the same box. Wish I would have gone with a different seller.

Gotoh tuning machines are always a good choice. The arguments will always be there for other well-known tuners, but I've had Gotoh on all sorts of guitars and have never wanted for more. I did a ton of looking to see if these would be a direct fit for a PRS SE. Having found no definitive answer, I went ahead and ordered them. I have a set of these on a Gibson and those were a direct fit. The "vintage" style are unpredictable simply because they use press-in bushings rather than threaded. In the end, I did have to pop-out my OEM bushings and eem out the holes in my PRS SE Zach Myers a little over 1/64th and gently press in new bushings. The OE bushings were not only smaller OD but also ID so I wasn’t able to put the peg of the new tuning machines in through them. I will just caution that you might face this issue and maybe the next person wondering will find this review. Enlarging the holes is no big deal but if you are really concerned about not modifying anything about your axe or don’t have the ability to do so, these might not be for you. There are probably other ways of doing this but I had good results and am very happy with them. The tuners that came with the Zach Myers are the only disappointment and this upgrade took care of that. Rock on!

Just got these installed on my Gibson SG. It was very easy to do install and required no modification to the guitar - the screw points lined up perfectly. This is my first time doing a mod like this and I had it done in 90 minutes (time to uninstall old furniture, install new, restring, tune, and set action). I installed it with Gibson Less Paul Premium strings (46/09) and the locking mechanisms really are just a huge improvement over the stock furniture. The best way I could describe the change to sound is livlier with extremely smooth and precise control on tuning. Not only do they sound and feel good, they look great. Couldn't be happier.

I was getting ready to buy these for my 2008 Gibson Les Paul that has the non collared bushings, but unfortunately they are the same 15:1 tuning ratio as the stock which are not precise enough and affects tuning stability. You have to pay more but the Kluson Revolutions non collared locking tuners with their 19:1 ratio is a better option (I have them on my Gisbson ES-335 Historic). Was hoping to save few bucks here but no go.

Got these for my Epi 59 which had vintage style tuners on it. I had not had issues with the tuners however I just love locking tuners. Makes switching strings so much easier. Installed today, took me about 30 minutes and is very easy. All holes match up perfectly and you get replacement bushings so they look almost identical once switched out. Tuning seems very stable and they look great. Would definitely recommend you just have to be careful to make sure you are getting the correct ones to match your existing tuners.
