Great foam but am surprised to see sometimes it fluctuates to a quarter inch more than anticipated

I love this firm foam. I cut 2 pieces big enough for car seat, added pillow protectors and pillow cases. These are great and help protect my tailbone and sit bones. This firm foam would make a great cushion for outside or inside. Glad I purchased it.
