This dish slows my speedy dog down enough. It could slow her down more, but I would say it's in the middle range of effectiveness.It does slide around some. I've worked around that by placing it against a wall.I returned the last one that did nothing to slow her down, but I'm keeping this one.

Works well. Definitely slowed down the eager puppy. The grip at the bottom helps keep the dish in place when she’s eagerly pushing on the dish.

I bought it because my toy poodle was gobbling is food down so fast and would sometimes vomit afterward. This bowl has slowed his eating down because it takes him time to get to it. Works as it should! Has a rubber base that grips floor too!

Before I started using this bowl, my Boston terrier was wolfing his food something terrible that he'd throw up undigested food after. But now he's eating more slowly and so far hasn't had any issues with his stomach. This bowl really helps!

My recently adopted dog gulped down her food so fast she'd choke. I ordered the Gorilla Grip bowl, and it's a well made product that DID slow down Maya's eating and stopped the gagging. The non-slip bottom allowed me to set it on top of the elevated feeding station I have, and it stays put.I'm very satisfied with this product!

I have a 9 mos old adopted puppy. She came by way of Texas. Anyways, she's a bolter. Then she goes to our other doggo's dish. Colour me unamused.This has slowed her gulping down to a normal speed. No more tummy grumbles in the middle of the night. We feed her kibble for breakfast, and it slows her down immensely. Her dinner was actually the real problem. Our dogs get boiled meat (beef or chicken, depending on age), ½ a hard boiled egg, some wild rice and carrot. She can chomp that down in seconds flat. So this dish makes it possible for her to have to slow down and taste her food.It's the perfect size for a 10 lb dog imo. AND it's dishwasher safe.

I ordered two of these for my kitties and they are nice feeders. My only issue is that they slide across the floor to easy. My cat will take his nose or paw and scoot it across the floor. If it had better grip on the bottom, I would have rated higher.
